There are many other "mind-controlling" parasites such as the Spinochordodes Tellinii which infect grasshoppers and forces them to drown themselves... (Where the worm reproduces). My 250th vid! Recently confirmed for the Wii Virtual Console, this SNES (also Megadrive) top down single or two player shooter proved to be quite fun and was given good reviews. One of Lucasarts games for the system, it is filled with references to cult classic movies, from zombies to aliens, there's a bit for everyone on this game. Who can forget the Giant Baby boss? I mean, if you're part of the undead here in Los Angeles then you have a lot of beautiful days. It would be a shame to waste all of them sleeping in your coffin six feet bellow the star printed ground. The challenge was to see if I could express the idea of "beautiful day" by only shooting feet. Turns out that it's very limited what you can do when shooting at ground level to tell a story. Feet just don't pack the emotional punch that a hand or a face might. They are simply less expressive. I had to build the world around them. Sight-seeing, brain eating, base-running, gum-avoiding, new shoe finding, hopscotch-hopping....you get the idea. In the end I think this turn out to be really sweet...which is weird for me because normally someone dies. I guess in our hero's case he was already dead. And I guess he did kill a man...but that doesn't count. We never got to know that poor bastard. Anyway, it was nice for him to get to see the ocean, because it was nice for me as well. The Zombies - "Tell Her No" (1964)
The Zombies are an English rock band. Formed in 1959 in St Albans and led by Rod Argent on piano and Colin Blunstone on vocals, the band scored US hits in the mid- and late-1960s with "She's Not There", "Tell Her No", and "Time of the Season". Their 1968 album Odessey and Oracle, comprising twelve songs by the group's principal songwriters, Argent and Chris White, is now considered one of the best of its time and is ranked 80 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. The group formed in 1959 in St Albans, England, and gained their initial reputation playing the Old Verulamians Rugby Club in that city. The group was formed while the members were at school. Some sources state that Argent, Atkinson and Grundy were at St Albans School, while Blunstone and White were students at St Albans Boys' Grammar School (since renamed Verulam School). James' father was the original drummer. After winning a beat-group competition sponsored by the London Evening News, The Zombies signed to Decca and recorded their first hit, "She's Not There" (Argent's second song, written specifically for this session), which was released in mid-1964 and peaked at number 12 in the UK, where it was their only UK Top 40 hit. This minor-key, jazz-tinged number, distinguished by its musicianship and Blunstone's breathy vocal, was unlike anything heard in British rock at the time.
