Inside a Failed State - Zimbabwe
October 2007 Zimbabwe, once one of the most prosperous nations in Africa, now has the lowest life expectancy and highest inflation rate in the world. Life has become an everyday struggle for survival. The supermarkets in Bulawayo are all empty. According to the shopkeeper, the last time they had bread was "a month ago". Filming secretly undercover, journalist Ginny Stein captures the desperation everywhere. "There is no water. Nothing, just nothing", laments 'Tony'. "Children are hungry, everyone is hungry. Our government is a monster". Even if there were things in the shops, most people couldn't afford them. A teacher's monthly salary now buys the equivalent of one MacDonald's family meal. Malnutrition is taking its toll on people's health. "Up to 75% of the people coming in have diarrhea and vomiting", states Dr Thandazani. The fear is that these problems will only get worse. In July, the government forced businesses to half their prices. Now it's proposing to nationalize 51% of all white-owned businesses. "The economy must be in the hands of Zimbabweans", states Ambassador Khaya Moyo. But unsurprisingly, manufacturers and retailers feel they're being made new enemies of the state. UFO - 62 School Children Encounter - Zimbabwe 1994
Ruwa, Zimbabwe - September 16, 1994 In total, there were 62 children outside of the school at the time, and most of the teachers were inside the school at a meeting. It was reported that only one adult was supervising the recess that morning, a mother of one of the children. There had been reports of UFOs in the skies over Zimbabwe only two days before, but it is unlikely that any of the students were aware of these reports. Ariel was a private elementary school, hosting students of all backgrounds. Several of the children stated that they had seen three unknown flying objects in the skies over the school prior to the landing. Students saw the UFOs disappear then reappear in a different place in the sky. Finally, at least one of the UFOs either landed, or hovered just above the ground. The UFO was only about 100 meters from the students at play. The object was in a heavily wooded area, which was off limits to the students for safety concerns. Soon, what the students described as a "small man" could be seen on the top of the UFO. The occupant of the craft was described as being about one meter (3 ft.) tall, with a slender neck, long black hair, and very large eyes. He walked down the craft, and proceeded in the direction of the children. On Monday, 27 September 2004 while he was visiting London to lecture to a company dedicated to TELawrence, Mack was run over and killed from a drunk driver.
