Amtrak California Zephyr Train trip part 1
I made this video on board the Amtrak California Zephyr line train No. 5 during a Westbound trip from Denver, Colorado to Provo, Utah. (The Amtrak California Zephyr train route is between Chicago and San Francisco and crosses the Rocky Mountain range.) This video (Part 1) that I made is a mainly a walk through tour in the coach class section inside the train, including the lounge car. I noticed that they now have tables installed in the upper level of the lounge car. Part 2 video is mainly of video taken out the window of scenery up in the Rocky Mountain range shortly after the train left Denver. The camera I used was a Sony DSC-H2 digital still camera used in MPEG video mode. Zephyr - Zephyr (1969) Musicians Candy Givens - Lead Vocals, Harmonica. Robbie Chamberlin - Drums, Backing Vocals. David Givens - Bass, Backing Vocals. John Faris - Piano, Organ, Flute. Tommy Bolin - Guitar, Backing Vocals. This late-'60s Denver group is most notable as the starting point for guitarist Tommy Bolin, who was still in his teens when they recorded their first album in 1969. A rather routine slab of bluesy, heavy rock, it made the Top 50. Aside from Bolin's extended hard rock riffing, it prominently featured the lead vocals of Candy Givens, who affected a blues-wailing pose along the lines of Janis Joplin. But she didn't have the full throat or guts to back it up, ending up closer to also-ran female psychedelic singers like Lydia Pense (of Cold Blood). Zephyr recorded one more album before Bolin left for stints with James Gang, Deep Purple, and a solo career; the group carried on with little success throughout the 1970s.

The QinetiQ team launches Zephyr in Yuma in August 2008. Zephyr is a solar powered UAV designed and built by QinetiQ for continuous flight over several months. Zephyr currently holds the unofficial record for the longest unmanned flight at around 83 hours - achieved in August 2008. Zephyr is powered by lithium-sulphur batteries that are recharged during the day using solar power. The aircraft uses a bespoke autopilot system to navigate between waypoints and to remove the requirement for permanent manual operation. www.qinetiq.com

This footage has been seen elsewhere with audio dubbed in from the first Zephyr album. This version has the audio dubbed from a live tape labeled Ebbets Field 1971, a song called "Goin' Home" (otherwise known from Woodstock in the version by Alvin Lee and Ten Years After.) this is a model 1222(D) serial BR16661 casablanca zephyr 52" ceiling fan in polished brass dated February 16th, 1983 and it is the 661st unit produced. uses an Emerson K55 series motor. this fan is in the middle of restoration. it used to be a variable speed but i broke that so im using the slumber three 3 speed control form the PB delta II to operate this fan. blades are not original im using the ones of my four seasons and i do have the original ones but i cannot find them at the time. the arms need to be replaced since the finish is ruined on all of them the copper under-finish was revealed when i tried to clean them. this is what the fan will look like when its finished! this is a great fan very quiet and powerful! thanks for watching!
