The real 'Young Victoria'
'Young Victoria' the film starring Emily Blunt, Miranda Richardson and Rupert Friend is released in UK cinemas on the 6th March 2009. It tells the story of Queen Victoria's "early rise to power". Victoria's actual childhood was spent at Kensington Palace, having been born there in 1819, in the room now known as the North Drawing Room. It was at Kensington she learnt that her uncle had died and she was now queen. Victoria, aged just 18 years, held her accession Privy Council in the Red Saloon. She even met a young Albert in the palace - four years before she eventually married him! In this film, Historic Royal Palaces Chief Curator, Lucy Worsley tells the story of the young Victoria in the place it really happened.
The Young Victoria - Childhood/Zadok the Priest
This is the first track off the soundtrack for The Young Victoria, which gave me tingles when I first heard it in the movie. I added another version on of 'Zadok the Priest' to the end of the song because the original track ended at the first verse. The sound is a little different but it was the only one I could find that I felt really matched. PLEASE READ FIRST!!!!! Queen Victoria and Prince Albert; possibly one of the greatest love stories ever told, EVER! Hehe. And the great thing is, is that it actually happened. It's apart of history. :) Now, I love anything to do with the Royal's, Period drama, and especially the Victorian era in general just because she was such an amazing leader - and so I was UH - MAZED when I found out about the movie 'The Young Victoria' which chronicles the young monarch's ascension to the throne, and her beautiful romance with the dashing Prince Albert (more on him later. *wink* lol). I urge ALL OF YOU to see this movie guys, especially if you're not familiar with Queen Victoria and the story of herself and Albert. It's absolutley amazing. Trust me, it's really touching and even if you're not a period drama fan, a romantacist, or a typical girl, I promise you, you'll still love it! :) Emily Blunt is amazing in this movie, as are the rest of the cast, especially the lovely Mr. Rupert Friend, who plays Prince Albert. His portrayal of the Prince is completley spot on! He deserves an Oscar! lol. I'm sure that the days where he is most remembered, for being the guy on Keira Knightley's arm, or his bit parts in 'Pride and Prejudice' and 'The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas.' are over! - He's amazing in this film, plus....Rupert = LUSH! The Young Victoria Trailer | Arthur&Morgana Style
I first saw The Young Victoria a few weeks ago (and have completely fallen in love with it) and several times when I was watching it I though of how much she was like Morgana in certain ways. Thus - this trailer was born. It's my first (sort of) Arthur/Morgana video and certainly not my last. I'm not giving up on these two, even if TPTB have completely retconed season 1 and half their supporters jumped ship by the second episode of season 2. Making this only made me love them more. I LOVE making trailers. I think I prefer it to making music videos tbh. I don't know what it is. maybe it's the joy of finding clips that match up perfectly to the original trailer audio or whatever but I just love em! Anyway, I was having so much fun making this one that it took me almost no time at all compared to anything else I've made (given time off for graduation, prom etc!) It didn't end up feeling tedious the way I usually get with my other videos either which was brilliant. So yah.
