When I am flying a fighter I feel like I am in the Navy flying an F-4. I've been flying for so many hours! No complaints. I put a lot of work getting this out to you guys. I made it a 'must do' on Monday to make this. At around 4:00 I began flying. After flying, gathering clips, editing, and commentating the review I finally began uploading around 11:00. Yip, another X-Plane 10 video. If you have any requests let me know. As a long term user of the Microsoft series, I'm struggling with X-Plane. I'm still trying to find out how to use ATC and schedule a flight. It's also not shy on it's bugs... frequently when positioned at a gate there is some sort of conflict and I'm in with another aircraft. The textures sometimes go a bit crazy (Check the sky in this video!) I have a common video card (460GTX) and the latest video driver - though it is still early days for the sim. It has a very realistic appeal however, and I'm enjoying using it. Captured in 1080p @ 30fps, rendered in 720p @ 29fps. At points, the game FPS falls to about 25. Downtown Los Angeles and Los Angeles scenery from x-plane.org, KLAX also came from x-plane.org but was packaged with payware JRollon CRJ-200. All roads and buildings other than Downtown LA and LAX are generated by X-Plane. Please note the video has been sped up by 600% so it looks grainier than it really is.

Sprechtext Der Flugsimulator X-Plane ist in der zehnten Version erschienen und die Entwickler haben viel verbessert. Das Spiel sieht schöner aus als seine Vorgänger - und schöner als der deutlich ältere Microsoft Flight Simulator sowieso. Vor allem die Darstellung der Wolken ist gut gelungen. Die Bodentexturen von Deutschland und vielen anderen Ländern entsprechen der Realität. Dank der umfangreichen Daten des Openstreetmap-Projekts kann sich der Pilot an den Straßen und Schienen am Boden orientieren. Hier sehen wir beim Überflug den Hauptbahnhof von München - und ein paar Minuten später den Flughafen der Stadt mit den richtigen Zubringern auf Straße und Schiene. Abhängig vom Detailgrad stimmt der Straßenverlauf auch in Bodennähe. Die Häuser sind jedoch automatisch generiert und entsprechen architektonisch amerikanischen Städten. Das Gebäude, in dem sich die Golem.de-Redaktion befindet, sieht tatsächlich völlig anders aus als in X-Plane. Die Straßendaten sind zwar präzise, doch durch den automatischen Import sehen komplizierte Straßenübergänge manchmal nicht besonders schön aus. Publisher Aerosoft hat das Spiel für den deutschsprachigen Markt angepasst. So gibt es etwa einen detaillierten Flughafen Innsbruck und Paderborn, den Heimatflughafen von Publisher Aerosoft. Weniger detailliert sind andere deutsche Flughäfen. Das Drehkreuz Frankfurt am Main entspricht zwar dem Vorbild und hat sogar schon die neue Startbahn, aber nicht viele Details. Got my new upgrades up and running and starting to fine tweak them. I'm now running at a steady 45 to 50 FPS on the ground and 62 to 65 in the air. X plane 10 and FSX
Look how I didn't put vs.... FSX is running at max - traffic, XP10 is running at med, this is highest settings they could run while hitting 20 fps on the same pc. Both are great games, just like Jack daniels and Makers mark are both great whiskys. PLEASE STATE YOUR OPINIONS IN A NON DEGRADING FASHION. Both flights are at the same time of day/season with "real weather" (recorded about 10 mins apart)
FSX vs Xplane
Well when i called the video vs Xplane without showing and comparing visually the both simulators..is because i do not have Xplane installed, but i do have two friends with monsters machines like mine and i go often to visit and party with them sometimes, well fsx is way way better on visually ,user friendly and bin programing language. in therms of plane avionnics, auto pilot, flight manager and detail values of the flight or the plane, well Xplane have more to ofter, i think xplane is more performance friendly than FSX but if you have a great pc( when i say great is really great..no less than 2500 euros) than you rather choose FSX... the Best Aviation Simulator ever done ...at least till 2011. thats period sorry but i think this isnt a matter of opinion.. is just the way it is, i just did the video because lots of subscribers writte me: that i should use Xplane instead of FSX....what?? are you Serious..are you blind? trying to convert me? lol ok guys thats why i just did the video and picked the title " FSX vs Xplane" by the way this isnt a matter to speak but someting to see...so if you are a Xplane user you do have my respect but please if you desagree, just respond with a video, not words!! you know what a mean? cheers

X-Plane v9.70 :: First Impressions
Please read all the description before make any question My first thoughts were: 1)Great frame rates (Using an old X800GT 128mb) 2)Cool looking sloped and uneven runways 3)Pretty good flight dynamics (rudders have the same action that you feel on a real aircraft) 4)Most used in FAA's certified flight simulators (like in my IFR instruction) The plane models are pretty poor and textures are nothing to be amazed by. The scenery is good, but I've seen better and some textures appear blurry. To people that are looking for a good flight dynamic responses, weather and multi-player possibilities (IVAO in my case), this is a great simulator. Like microsoft flight simulator X, the roads are generated using real charts by OpenStreetMaps, and cities are compiled using real visual charts. To getting used to,actualy I'm moving from FSX to X-Plane 9.70 for two motives: 1-) The X-Plane10 are coming soon, and without doubt it will be the best simulator in a near future. The screenshots and videos recently being uploaded to internet shows a really detailed and intelligent simulated world. 2-) Carenado and other flightsim developers are migrating to this platform also. Its a completely different table of keyboard commands. Some inputs need to be defined with keys that you think better for play. The X-Plane shares the GPS position, so you can easily connect the AirNavigationPro app with simulator. I use this app in my Commercial Pilot course here in Brazil, so this is a good way to practice ...

You can download the X-Plane 10 Demo on x-plane.com via the torrent or via the x-plane installer program which you can download from the site also. I recommend the torrent. Just download the torrent, open it in a torrent client program (download this client from the internet for free, like 'utorrent' or even better: 'Vuze'). You'll notice that x-plane won't work after the download has finished (if you have a mac, on windows it works fine). To solve this: Download the x-plane 10 updater program. Go back to your x-plane 10 Demo folder which you can find in 'documents/Vuze downloads'. Delete the X-plane 10 app (not the whole folder). 'What?' 'Yes, just do it!' Check for updates with the x-plane 10 updater and it will automatically download the good x-plane 10 app. When it's done open it and it should work, happy flying Please comment, like, share and subscribe! X-Plane 10 nearly maxed out !! I have managed to pretty much max out X-Plane 10. As you can see the lighting effects are absolutely gorgeous in this sim. I have also turned on the HDR option which brings 3d lights on thousands of light poles in the city. Graphic settings- Totally insane Objects , roads and Airport detail. Last tutorial about ATC! Can I get a like for the full series being up? Sorry this one isn't as detailed, if I put in all the footage it would be around 20 minutes and that wasn't going to be good. Flight in X-plane 9.7 from Greven to Monastir in my B727-200 "Carthago" .Remembering the flights with that plane in the 70´s when we flew from Frankfurt or Greven to DTMB or DTTA. thanks to all that are involved in Xplane - Austin Meyer, Project oblivion and others that made my dream possible to turn back the time
