This video shows two methods of updating the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 to v2.3 Gingerbread. Method 1: Works on ANY phone. Does NOT require root. Method 2: Works on ANY phone with xRecovery installed (rooted). Installs a pre-rooted firmware. Flashing does NOT affect SIM/network unlocking. Unlocking is ONCE and PERMANENT. Flashing does NOT unlock a locked phone -- buy an unlock code.
