UPDATE! One World Trade Center / Freedom Tower Construction progress taken 5/12/2012 part 1
I have once again ventured out to the World Trade Center site for yet another update and we are almost done with the steel superstructures on both One World Trade Center and Tower 4 and will be done soon! So I started normally at the Hudson River and we will once again take a thorough look through the World Trade Center site and get more information on all the towers.

It's been 9 years since the terrorist attacks of 9/11, I wanted to make a tribute video. What I did was select footage of the Towers from films to make a compilation. Thought y'all would like to see a video of them where they're not in flames for a change... My inspiration came from the thought that I have never gotten to see these wonderful buildings in my life, except on film. I felt an emptiness and sadness when I visited New York in 2003 and looked up at the skyline and noticed something (and I really mean two things) missing. Films used were "Gangs of New York", "Trading Places", "King Kong", "Spiderman", "Coming To America", "Guns N' Roses - Paradise City", "King Kong", "We're Back", "Man On Wire", "Limp Bizkit - Rollin", "City of New York Vs. Homer Simpson", "Depeche Mode - Enjoy The Silence", and "Home Alone 2". The music used is a mash-up of "Allison At The Stoplight" and "John Rescued / Resolution". Both are reprisals of the "World Trade Center Theme", composed by Craig Armstong and found on the soundtrack of "World Trade Center". UPDATE! One World Trade Center / Freedom Tower Construction progress taken 5/12/2012 part 2
I continue and start back up at the entrance to the WTC memorial. First you can get a detailed look at at the glass and structure steel of Tower 4 before continuing. Now that One World Trade Center and Tower 4 have gained so much height I can capture both of them at once. Both towers continue to get steel and concrete and are working at a very fast pace to the top. After a brief stop you can see the Vehicle Security Screening Center gaining some steel and work. The Vehicle Security Screening center is going to be mostly underground but some above ground work can be seen here. After looking at the security center I noticed some glass starting to be installed at the lobby of Tower 4 and continuing across. Moving on we can now get a better look at Tower 3's concrete core rising. There is also some outer work being done to start the steel floors on Tower 3 now. Currently Tower 3 is going to be built up to 7 stories until a Tenant is found. I really don't think that Tower 3 will stay at 7 stories permanently because this is a building that is going to go generations into the future. Someone is going to lease the space. Once a tenant is found construction will continue on Tower 3 up to the 80th floor. Tower 2 is getting the same program right now. They will be built partially and when a Tenant is found they will continue. Tower 2 will be 88 stories high. Again these are buildings that are going into the future and it's hard for me to believe that they will stay at 7 stories ...

I have made it down to the PATH station and we can continue to see progress on the Freedom Tower. We can now get a few straight up looks at the Freedom Tower and get a good look at the massive height that this building has gained. I then take a look at the core starting to rise out of the ground for Tower 2 and it's progress. The core is starting to take shape and will soon be continuing out of the ground. After taking a few more shots of One World Trade Center and Tower 4 I decided to try something new. I decide that I am going to get a distance shot of One World Trade Center and Tower 4 from Brooklyn just so we can see everything from a distance and start to see the skyline take shape. So to do that I board an R train at the Cortlandt Street station outside of Tower 3. The Cortlandt Street station was severely damaged when the original Twin Towers of the World Trade Center had collapsed and the station was closed. The uptown platform was repaired and put back into service but the downtown platform remained closed for quite some time. Now everything has been repaired and the station is back at capacity. The R train arrives to take me into Brooklyn. I transfer at Jay Street Metro-Tech for the A train and get off at High Street. Now I walk towards Brooklyn Bridge park and we can now see the Freedom Tower and Tower 4 from a distance. At Brooklyn Bridge park we can get a good look at both the Manhattan Bridge, Brooklyn Bridge, apartments, people and of course One World Trade ...
