Word War Z - Brad Pitt's Zombie Movie Shoot on Location Glasgow
'How come the polis arent doing anything hen?' lololol 'They're frightened of their human rights' lolol 'That was a gud yin there hen' lolol Philadelphia City workers desperately try to escape the World War Z zombies in Glasgow's George Square, but the local weegie ladies just carry on chewing the fat. Nae worries hen its just another zombie apocalypse. Apparently Bobby Petta is in there somewhere as an extra. I have't the foggiest idea who he is! Shooting moved from Malta to Falmouth in Cornwall then Scotland with the main set in Glasgow city centre and further filming taking place by Grangemouth Refinery near Edinburgh. Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and family enjoyed a stay in an Ayrshire country house during the weeks of filming in Glasgow. Next up Tom Hanks, Halle Berry and Hugo Weaving are pretending they are in San Francisco filming Cloud Atlas. Whatever next! Visitor info: Glasgow is a great place for a weekend break and is full of fabulous architecture such as the City Chambers shown here. You can take the free guided tour at 10.30 and 2.30 each working day and see the stunning rooms, three tier marble staircase and location of many big movies. the hop on hop off bus begins and ends its route at George Square which is also the location of the Tourist Information Centre.
