Great racing action from The GT1 Qualifying session at Navarra Spain. The FIA GT1 World Championship is a world championship sports car racing series developed by the SRO Group and regulated by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). It features multiple grand tourer race cars based on production road cars and conforming with the GT1 (2010-2011) and GT3 (2012-) regulations competing in one-hour races on multiple continents. Championships are awarded each season for drivers and teams. The FIA GT1 World Championship has started in 2010 as a successor to the previous FIA GT Championship which featured the GT1 category as well as a GT2 category. In 2012 the series originally planned to move away from exclusive use of GT1 cars by allowing 2009-spec GT2 from the former FIA GT Championship as well as current performance balanced GT3 specification cars to compete alongside the series' current GT1 cars. 2000 BMX riders will descend upon Birmingham this week to take part in the UCI BMX World Championships at the National Indoor Arena (NIA) from May 24th-27th. Take a look at the BMX Racing track being built at the NIA from scratch in just one week. Over 8000 pallets and 3000 tonnes of dirt have been sourced to construct the track from local suppliers to build dirt jumps and trails to replicate an outside BMX track, with capacity to seat an audience of over 4000 on each of the four days of racing.

Australian BMX rider Sam Willoughby wins the Elite Men's World Championship in Birmingham England saying it was "a dream come true". Willoughby progressed through to finals after a convincing ride in the semi finals that saw him lead from start to finish. The final featured 2 Australian riders with Sam being joined by Anthony Dean also from South Australia. On the gate Willoughby held the much coveted number 1 position with Dean in 8 whilst in between sat 2 French, 2 US and one rider each from Latvia and New Zealand. Asked whether the attention turns straight away to the Olympics Willoughby said he was going to enjoy being World Champion for the moment. At age 19, Danny Hart started his second pro season with the Giant Factory Off-Road Team hoping to maybe crack the top 5. He did more than that. At Round 2 of the World Cup, in front of a capacity crowd at his "home" venue in Scotland, Danny shocked the world with one of the most exciting DH runs ever seen—and he didn't stop there. Danny scored two more podium finishes on the World Cup and finished the season fourth overall. And he followed that with a jaw-dropping win at the World Championships in Champery, Switzerland. The, Hawaii Ironman 2011 World Championship triathlon race in Kona, Hawaii, brought about some of the toughest and strongest mentally focused athletes in the world to race over 140 miles distance in some some of the most outrageous terrain imaginable. We wanted to produce this short video clip to inspire people, period. The discipline and determination, mental focus, physical fitness and positive mental attitude that it takes to compete in a race like this, brings out many of the top qualities that human beings are capable of. And to us, that is worth sharing with the world. This year we wanted to focus on the biomechanics of the professionals in this race, and the "story" of the race. It was a great year, the men's world record was broken by Craig Alexander and Chrissie Wellington finished 20 minutes behind the first leader, after the bike, and still managed to run down all of her competition to come in first. Not all of us are cut out to be world class triathletes, but we sure can admire all of the qualities that it takes to get there. Australian TROY BROSNAN won his second junior downhill world championship title in a row at the UCI Mountain Bike Worlds in Champery, Switzerland, on Sunday afternoon. Rain started the morning of the competition and only got stronger all day. It made a very technical track even more technical and many of the top racers were crashing and slipping all over during their final runs. Brosnan defeated 57 other juniors to take his second consecutive rainbow-striped jersey in a time of 3:51.503. He was the third last junior man down the hill and beat the time of the previous best rider, David Trummer (Austria) by more than 12 seconds. "It feels amazing. Winning this one was harder than the first one," said Brosnan. "I can't believe it."
