I've gotten a lot of questions lately in the comments about what I do for my arms, and how to develop a biceps "peak." In this video I'm going to show you two of the exact exercises I use to get big arms myself. Building a biceps "peak" will make a HUGE difference in how big your biceps appear. If they're shaped right, your biceps will appear much bigger than someone whose are the same size, but whose biceps do not have a dramatic peak. Developing your bracs (muscles outside your biceps) with the other exercise I show in this video will also make your arms appear much bigger and fuller from the side, which is the main way that people will be looking at your biceps. Some people THINK that you can't develop parts of a muscle, like a biceps "peak"... but this is actually not true at all! You CAN shape your muscles the way you want by doing the correct exercises -- my own body is proof of that. You just have to know the right exercises to develop that body shape you want. If you have the best abs in the world they will be completely invisible if you are overweight. Aerobic exercise and proper diet are even more important than ab exercises in getting that sought after 6-pack. Form is very important in crunches, many people do them incorrectly and end up working out their neck or hips more than their abs. Use slow movements and only use the abs. It's a compound exercise because it also works out your shoulders, your back, and arms. You also use your legs to stabilize yourself. Warm up good and get your blood flowing before lifting heavy to prevent injuries since there's different muscle groups involved. I also do the barbell on some days but I'm showing you guys dumbbell workouts and typical machines most gyms will have. You will have to balance the dumbbell more than barbell which will build more on your wrist/ forearms. It will help you lift the bar easier. Also you wont need a spotter as you would need for the barbell to use heavier weights. Anyways its 100 degrees in this gym and there's no air conditioning so it's hard to lift here. lol Couple things to remember: Flat dumbbell press - Start off light since it's the beginning of the workout and increase gradually. -Keep your feet on the ground and spread out to maintain balance. - Place the dumb bell closer to your body so when you roll back you're ready to push the weight upright. -Try to go low as you can - If you want to target more on your chest; don't fully extend your bench as it will work out more on your triceps. This will also help if you're going heavier and if your muscles give out you can always drop the dumbbell to the side. Killer Home Chest Workout
scoobysworkshop.com Here is a great chest workout you can do at home with a cheap dumbbell set. Big gyms are nice but when you can get a killer workout at home without the overhead of getting to and from the gym. In this chest workout we are going to do pushups, then with no rest immediately do flys, then with no rest immediately do dumbbell press. Make sure and use a much lighter weight than you usually would on the flys and dumbbell press because after the pushups you wont have much left in you. After doing this set of three exercises, wait 2-5 minutes and do it again. Do 5-8 sets like this and you will be sore the next day. As with all dumbbell exercises,form is key if you want to maximize your muscle building efforts and minimize the chance of injury. Don't use too much weight, if you can't do the exercise slowly then you need to go lighter. Count aloud "one onethousand, two onethousand, three onethousand" on the way up and the way down, if you cant do this on this exercise then you are using too much weight. The reason this exercise method maximizes your muscle growth is because it confines the motion to the muscle you are trying to work out, if your body squirms, swings, and kicks, all you are doing is taking the focus away from the muscle you are trying to exercise. Anyone can be healthier, have more energy, sleep better, and feel better about themselves through bodybuilding.
