This film featured the first footage of Mamie White, who broke up a three-way catfight between female fans of Hasil Adkins during a concert sequence. This auspicious meeting led to Nitzbergs friendship with the White family and his shooting the first video footage of Jesco White in 1989. Morrison has both examined and challenged systems of domination throughout her intellectual life. In this interview she is asked by PBS's Charlie Rose what it is like for her to encounter racism. "Superwoman" is the second single from R&B singer Karyn White's self-titled debut album, Karyn White (1988). It became her second US top ten hit and second US R&B number-one hit. In 1991, the song was remade by Gladys Knight, with help from Patti LaBelle and Dionne Warwick, and it was featured on her album Good Woman.
