Cindy, Alison and I took the bus down to Tokyo on Saturday to meet Matt Harding of "Dancing" video fame (see below) at Yoyogi Park and to dance with him in his next video. 30+ other people showed up as well. He was in Tokyo for only a few days before he continued on to South Korea to film the next clip of his new video. NHK, Japan's public broadcaster, was also there filming. Pola hosted the Tuesday night Open Stage Show at the EJC 2008. We wanted to make an exciting start to the show so we made this video. Starting at about 1pm (which is why a lot of the site looks a bit empty) we filmed for an hour and a half, I edited for an hour and a half... just in time to begin organizing the show! Thanks to WhereTheHellIsMatt.com for the idea and inspiration. I made a new version, including some footage of Pola actually appearing on stage. Yes, the lens could have been cleaner, but I was trying to do three or four things at once. The Marco Paoletti Workshop shot was totally unplanned. All we wanted was a shot of the small gym, and as Pola began juggling a mass of jugglers stormed past. Marco is crazy!

Since I saw the original "Where the hell is Matt?" video, from wherethehellismatt.com, I was astonished by how, starting from a simple idea, Matt had realized four minutes which sum up the meaning of our world more than the billions of words that day after day are wasted on TV, on the Internet, within churches and so on. My video is just a message to Matt, louder than an e-mail, to say thanks for his present, 'cause every time I see his video I want to cry for the emotion. Every time. The very same "Thanks" goes to Garry Schyman too. His composition is perfect for the video and contributes a lot to the impressive result. I had so much fun recording "Praan" with my guitar! Finally, I sincerely don't even know if this message will really come to Matt. In any case, I hope this video doesn't bother him or anyone else and doesn't violate any copyright or so. In that case, please forgive me and warn me as soon as possible. I will remove it in a minute. Thanks again!
