Wars of the British Tree people
A picturesque and daring tale of British anti-road protest, told from 50m up a majestic pine tree! We follow the tree-top struggle to stop the building of a new road around the English town of Newbury. Inside a giant treehouse, hammocks, ragged carpets and a stove create an air of cosy domesticity. The CB radio crackles with news of the day's defeats. Protesters are frantically fortifying the camp and trees with barbed wire... The film gets close to the people behind the protest movement. Their arguments are candid and intelligent, rising above the stereotypical subculture reports. As spring sets in in Britain, the treetop battles get angrier and bloodier. In one attack protesters watch in horror as a tree falls onto one of the police climbers. The forest dwindles until the pine stands alone in a vast field of mud. One rainy morning a battalion of bulldozers appears. Men in fluorescent coats and riot helmets are lifted by roaring cranes to the top branches. Protesters throw paint and urine at them. It takes four cranes to get the protesters out of the pine. Finally the whirring chainsaws are ready to fell the tree.

It's time to set out to sea! As we continue to go back through Zelda's past releases we reach the Wind Waker, with a high sea adventure awaiting for us. With Link waking up in his sleepy village on his birthday, we take in the sights and sounds of the island, meeting the people, catching pigs and finding some nice pocket money along the way until he gets to his grandma's house. With his birthday he has came of age, the same age as the hero of legend, children on this day ritually wear a tunic as green as fields in order to impart upon them the courage of the hero, however while wearing the legendary garb events on the island spiral out of control. Using his sister's loaned present, he spots a giant bird flying high in the sky, holding a girl in its claws. With a pirate ship hot on its heel firing into the sky, a hit causes the girl to fall into the forest above the village and the spirit of the hero is quickly reborn!

FROM THE BRINK OF ETERNITY looks at what indigenous people of Kenya, the Seychelles and Mauritius are doing to save their endangered species. In Kenya the film looks at how the growing elephant population is threatening the future of the Amboseli National Park. Once hunted to near extinction the elephants are now so numerous they have almost destroyed the park, by uprooting thousands of acacia trees, thus endangering every animal in the park. We speak with the Kenyan Wildlife Service about a plan to plant one million trees. In the Seychelles we see the world's most erotic plant the Coco De Mar. During the last three hundred years it's erotic and mysterious nuts were washed up on shores around the world. When explorers found their source the nuts were harvested, and thousands of the trees where destroyed to keep the nut's value. We also see one of the word's rarest birds the Magpie Robin (just 30 birds left) as well as other endangered birds and animals. We speak with the Seychellous about their efforts to turn the tide of extinction. In Mauritius we see the world's rarest bird, the Echo Parakeet (just 17 birds left), as well as the world's rarest tree, there is only one left. We have all heard the expression " as dead as a Dodo". The Dodo comes from Mauritius and is the symbol of extinction. We see what the Mauritius people are doing to save their very special species. In particular we hear of one amazing success story.
