This single is by far Pink Floyd's greatest ever mainstream success, instantly attaining classic status, and is perhaps their most famous piece of work. ABINTW Pt. 2 even became the protest song of a group of South African students during the apartheid regime, the song was subsequently banned in South Africa. The song itself is a protest against the rigidity of British schools, and in particular, the boarding school system Waters would have been part of as a young boy. The poem read out by the schoolteacher is a direct reference to "Money" The schoolteacher in this video was portrayed by the late, great, Scottish actor Alex McAvoy who passed away in June 2005. By 2003 most people had accepted the idea that it was no longer possible to crash the festival and hence it is recognised as one of the most successful years to date. The number of tickets available to the public was increased slightly over 2002, partially in response to criticism that the 2002 festival was underpopulated and lacked atmosphere. The tickets sold out within one day of going on sale, in marked contrast to the two months it took to sell a similar number in 2002. It was also the first year that tickets sold out before the full lineup was announced. This was also the year Radiohead returned to headline the Pyramid Stage. Revenue raised for good causes from ticket and commercial licence sales topped £1 million, half of which went to Oxfam, Greenpeace and Water Aid.

The Wall, Live In Berlin was filmed at Potsdamer Platz, Berlin, Germany on July 21, 1990. Potsdamer Platz was the "no man's land" that sat between the two Berlin walls which separated East from West. By the time of the concert, 250000 tickets had been sold in advance and over 50 countries had signed on to broadcast the concert live. For fear of riots and injury, the concert gates eventually had to be taken down letting in an extra 100000 people for free. The concert would also serve as a benefit for The Memorial Fund for Disaster Relief. The opening sequence showing the enormous stage, the massive white wall, already 3/4 built, and the vast sea of people was quite awe-inspiring. For the opening number, "In The Flesh," the Scorpions are delivered to the stage (which is basically a two lane highway) via a white, stretch limo. What better band to open the show than Germany's own Scorpions, who were still one of the biggest metal bands on the planet in 1990. From there, it is a non-stop appearance of musicians and actors who were brought in to sing the songs, and act out the parts. This was more of a grand theater production, on the grandest of scales, than an actual rock concert.
