Feb 1, 2012 - That one in a million melody sounds a shit ton like music from a level in pokemon. Could be wrong though.
Rottenostalgia Says:
Feb 1, 2012 - Apparently, American Wedding will not be present on the final version of Frank Ocean's Nostalgia, Ultra since it samples Hotel California, which I think is bullshit.

Feb 7, 2012 - Concerning the Joy Division shirt, Disney should also be bothered by the astronomers who discovered the first neutron star. Those radio waves were lifted by Joy Division of course. From a textbook.

cpkelley Says:
Mar 5, 2012 - A suggestion for your next media critique: How the Telecommunication Act of 1996 killed the independent radio market. Deregulation allows major media corporations to swallow up the smaller guy and switch over to more profitable formats (hip hop).
bucketfel Says:
Mar 9, 2012 - you could have given the example of Kanye West "Power" sampling King Crimson. Fripp has been very vocal about his situation with record labels
kalikovisionmaster Says:
Mar 13, 2012 - yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
ZACHDISASTER Says:
Mar 25, 2012 - Does it matter if I sample people who are dead...reaaaaally dead?
seanlinderman47 Says:
Mar 27, 2012 - Depends is they've been dead for seventy years. Even then, you should do a seance and check to make sure it's cool.
ZACHDISASTER Says:
Mar 28, 2012 - I can't even find some of the orchestras I sample on any archive (google, I'm lazy), so if I can't contact them, should I still use these samples?
seanlinderman47 Says:
Mar 28, 2012 - That seems like a fair question to be asking, and it definitely demonstrates the ambiguity of the Copyright law, especially in the music industry. I would suggest you either find an expert on Copyright law, or you just go and do it and see if you get into trouble. Because, as they say, many great artists are also thieves.

thethreeamazingmen Says:
Apr 14, 2012 - music copyright has been an issue since the time of the romans...
TylersCool45 Says:
Apr 23, 2012 - copyright laws are a joke, stealing is 1-1=0 Copying is 1+1=2 . Copying is not stealing
MusicalPhliosophy Says:
May 5, 2012 - Hey mister Fantano, not only you're a good orator, a perfect music reviewer, but you also teach me a few things about english. My mother language is french, and I learned most of my english knowledge in songs, tv shows and movies. Well now I can add you to my list of english teachers. Thank you for all of that. Since you asked, have you ever reviewed any Tool records? Or Necrophagist? If not, I think you should. Peace from Belgium.
