Jun 23, 2011 - Before ED finished the speech the police arrested him. And for the crime of uttering these words he was imprisoned for 3 years. Don't speak to me of Freedom of Speech in America. It only applies to the obscenely rich. The Right has made America into a Totalitarian Plutocracy even as they scream about Freedom. There's no Free Market though the crooked banksters pay it lip service. They continue exploiting the poor; themselves not paying taxes, but dumping taxes on the backs of the poor.

njanovic1980 Says:

Feb 6, 2012 - After WW I General Pershing was quite outspoken in his criticism of the Treaty of Versaille. Saying that it would leave Germany in a state of permanent bankruptcy and poverty and as a result we would end up fighting another war in 20 years. What a pity no one listened for he was exactly right.

Feb 9, 2012 - A man who was so open for racial equality (im black american) in his time, and a man who spoke for the people's empowerment is a man i readily believe in.

fartman120 Says:

Feb 9, 2012 - fyi most americans in WWI died from std and other diseases and NOT in combat.

kjajames Says:

Feb 13, 2012 - So what does that have to do with anything? I think you may have missed the point of this speech. The speech was to signify that war is never in the genuine interest of the population, but rather the interests of those who benefit.Besides, what you are arguing could still simply be attributed to the despair living conditions of war.

fartman120 Says:

Feb 14, 2012 - i was just reffering to one of the comments made on this video. just wanted to state a random factoid. my statement had nothing to do with the video itself as weird as that might sound....

tomasbermea Says:

Feb 16, 2012 - this speech is just as true today, as it was during world war 1, maybe that's why i like it so much and have watched it more than 5 times already lol

cheshirecatsaira Says:

Feb 25, 2012 - "not in combat" are you a fucking idiot? -_-

MrGoflyers Says:

Mar 12, 2012 - This speech should be required reading for all Americans. It should be taught in school right next to the lie that is taught now in history classes as to the reason we fight all our wars. I remember growing up and being told about communist propaganda, well propaganda is alive and doing just fine in our own country under the disguise of Patriotism. What a shame that our flag waves & none question the blood of it's own people that drips from it for the glory of the few who control their fate.
