Title: EXPLOSIVE DUMOG
Added: Feb 29, 2008
Author: videobudo
Duration: 2:49
Description:
The O.P.F. System includes, among other elements, techniques, principles and concepts from Dumog, the Philippine version of Grappling, which, combined with JKD, offers a complete and effective combat system, targeted at law enforcement, and also adapted for civilian use. In this new DVD, focused on the "civilian" version of Dumog, we study the techniques that allow to stop the strength of the opponent, acting with fists, elbows, head, etc. on vital anatomical points in the nervous system. Once again, Oliva deepens in the concepts and applications of JKD, developing new ways that allow us to acquire technical knowledge, extremely effective and lethal for the opponent.Available at http://www.budointernational.net/For DVD Downloading visit also http://www.budointernationalvideo.com

Oct 9, 2009 - You want a f**ing street, well try bjj on the flooded Philippine streets. they're fighting for food and water there now, thats as real as it can get. Want a bar, sure, you got to be stupid to want to go down on broken glass.the truth is, youd be very stupid to try bjj on the Phlippine streets. As drivers and passerby's will will gang all over you with icepick, pocketknives, tire irons and whatever they can lay their hands on. heck, theyd even stab you first before declaring a holdup.

Oct 9, 2009 - ROFLMAO. you FMA guys are completely obsessed with unrealistic, unimaginable , impractical chuck norris movie fight scene scenarios arent you? problem with what you're saying is i dont live in the anywhere near the phillipines. i live in a well policed state capitol, in the united states, and ive seen a lot of fights arent here, but for the life of me i dont recall ever seeing a fucking ice pick or tire iron involved. just shut up.

Oct 9, 2009 - maybe you want to even out the situation? ok, bad guy gets into your house. you give him a good takedown and a perfect rear naked choke. bad guy pulls out his knife and stabs you in the side of the body 5 times before you let go. after which his friend puts one in your eyeballs while he wheezes to take back his breath. See my friend, selfdefence is about staying alive. when someones out to kill you, youve got to do them first. get a knife and have no mercy or get a gun and learn to shoot.
matwizard Says:
Oct 9, 2009 - bad guy gets in to my house i have a glock 17 with 18 rounds in it on my under my bed, they get 9 hollow points a piece. any more tough situations. i think proficiency in mma and concealed carry 9mm pistol trumps everything. have a nice day
wallenp Says:
Oct 9, 2009 - Nope, your the one who is an unrealistc movie freak. Your the one who challenged the other guy to make out any scenario and you will prove yourself. I gave you a whole bunch of realistic SD scenarios none of which is practical for your MMA-BJJ. Its not to trod on you but to make you see the point that nothing is a cure all. That SD is not sports. Granted i know FMA, i also know , boxing, kickboxing, aikido and jujitsu. And guess what? I'd only use those to get to my gun.

Oct 16, 2009 - Yep! That's how it happens. The son of my assistant instructor got sucker punched in a bar, the son takes him down and ground & pounds him, stands up and says, "I'm not feeling so good."While he was punching dude out on the floor, dude pumped him about 10 times in the stomach with a blade. Maybe the sad thing is, his Dad trained him in FMA's, but forgot it when his emotions got the better of him.Ring AND street training is a must, and prioritizing your' mindset for both is, as well.
wallenp Says:
Oct 18, 2009 - Its not so much of the fitness but the the mindset that is important in SD. A typical MMA fighter has lots of 'himself" that he wont avoid trouble but rather jump into it. Give him a dark alley and he'll say 'nah problem' and walks right through. An SD guy will look for a safer detour or will carry a weapon with him before going through, and with more intent on keeping distance if confronted. how you train is how you will react, and fighting in the ring is so much contrary to SD.Analyze VS jump
wallenp Says:
Oct 18, 2009 - In SD, work or not, after that eye jab, you run. You dont wait for a belt or applause as whats coming after you will be friends of your enemy, or a weapon of some sort. You keep distance and get yourself an equalizer- police /friends / weapons. The last thing you want in an sd situation is to tie yourself on the ground with you enemy. At that distance, even a razorblade will kill you. SD is not a game.

Oct 19, 2009 - Good stuff! This is the best Kali video I've found, you know your shit!
jrh512 Says:
Oct 21, 2009 - I agree with your comment about a loaded gun in the bedroom. I suggest you holster your weapon on your bed frame for easier access. We lock our bedroom door at night while sleeping. My wife, who is a former big city court reporter, made the suggestion. She has heard the real world horrors of people being violated When someone tries to breach a locked door, you are more likely to wake up and be in a position to defend yourself. Also, mma is consider sport. Don't limit your training. Peace
jkdsifu Says:
Nov 6, 2009 - Real street fighting is for real street fighters, sport fighting is for sport fighters -period. You can't switch. In real life you only get one chance to get it right or you die. In sport you can always come back to next year's tournament and try again. One big difference? Real fighting is fighting against more than 1 man, sport is always 1 man only. Weapons are used in real fights, no weapons in sport. If you don't believe it, go to a bad neighborhood and start a fight. Watch what happens.
Rapist87 Says:
Dec 8, 2009 - Distance control and pre emptive striking should be the first lesson
TheNomadicCat Says:
Dec 9, 2009 - True. Also, in sportfighting you stay within your weightclass. In the streets, the one who starts the fight usually outweighs you significantly.

Feb 12, 2010 - Fight you win or lose, attack you survive or die. Don't compare them.

Mar 14, 2011 - I know your comment is a year old but I had to reply. You say the truth. I hate it when people say "you're a coward" or whatever the fuck they say when it's not one on one in a street fight. Life is not fair, you best be prepared for whatever is coming your way. Ignorant fools, it will never be fair, best you can do is to keep your head up.

Mar 16, 2011 - i think this is not dumog at all this is wing chun
icskill Says:
Mar 25, 2011 - nice fighting style it seems to rely on the concept of putting the enemy of balance so that his hits are either non effective or reduced to a minimum.

Oct 9, 2009 - Not ridiculously in favor, that was what it was meant and developed for. The tribes people who used them in those time lived on montainslopes rice paddys and islands. As for homeinvasion, try your jujitsu in the stairs, in the bath tub or right beside your swimming pool. You wanted a scenario to use jujistu but these are places you wont want to use jujitsu. Nothing is a cure all. they all have their places, and it is there that they will be best. to force a rope through a needle is stupidity
