One of the best songs of The Dark Knight Soundtrack by Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard. It comes out when Batman jumps off the Sky Scraper via the 'Sky Hook' stunt, in the begining when gordon has the Batsignal on, and when Bruce is recreating the bullet for fingerprints.

May 22, 2012 - @gokuwell-put. though i am a fan of elfman's wit-laden, sometimes fantastical romps that blend color and theme quite nicely and i find zimmer to be a bit overrated and, especially lately, stagnant, i do agree that elfman's "weird" batman score does not succeed to the great levels that this soundtrack does in creating that quintessential modern batman atmosphere of a constant balancing act. the batman "buys time," indeed

May 22, 2012 - Elfman is a beast. His Spider-Man score was increadible, and most of his other scores were very creative. As for Hans? Well, I've never found a problem with his music. Most of his tunes fit whats going on in the movie. Besides, his Sherlock Holmes score? Incredible.

May 23, 2012 - Agreed, Elfman is a beast; particularly, I was thinking of even how brilliant "Army of Darkness" was. His music has personality. I do definitely agree that Hans is very fitting for each of his films, and he literally creates perfect ambiences. Hans absolutely nailed it with "Lion King." I think the only major reason I catch myself talking Hans down is because I am such a John Williams fan on a crusade to make him more respected. I know, "two different kinds of scoring", but still.

May 24, 2012 - Williams? The dude is the godfather of film scores. I've yet tyo meet anyone who doesn't know one of his signature tracks. From Jaws, to Star Wars, to Indy. The man has wrote tunes that are more known then the films they were made for.

May 21, 2012 - Eh. Elfman's theme had some weird pieces in it, including one that sounded more like Superman with it's "Good guy prevails" bit in the main theme.Batman never prevails, he buys time in a never ending fight against crime and corruption .
