Jan 20, 2012 - you mean like phil judd?? a little rude to call him a weirdo, my favorite stuff by this band was the early stuff, without judd the band would never had happened and he helped write their first few albums
nzoz1979 Says:
Jan 22, 2012 - So a creative force cannot be a weirdo? Enz wouldn't have existed if it wasn't for Judd and Chunn... but the ship would have gone down if they stayed on board... Roman Polanski was also talented, but that doesn't deter his 'weirdness'. You try uploading Split Enz videos and being forced to delete weird comments by genius ex-members of the band... sheesh!

Jan 26, 2012 - I love Split Enz but this is their most generic work.

Jan 30, 2012 - I would guess that The Hives must consider these guys a major influence to their style, fashion, and rock and roll delivery.

Mar 1, 2012 - At 42 I figured I knew a lot about pop music, but damn, I am simply infatuated with this band now. Quite obviously, an influence and contemporaries to Elvis Costello, J. Giles, Adam Ant, The Tubes, Cheap Trick etc....the sound of the equipment being used at the time has an impact no matter who is doing the writing, but I am so glad that after all these years there is a new band for me to get into and discover. I knew "I Got You" and "Six Months..." but that was it, UNTIL NOW!!! Very nice!!!

Mar 7, 2012 - Absolutely fantastic. I was 22 and playing at the time, doing quite well, our own stuff. Playing in the genre of the time. When I look back at this, well, there's "good", there's "great", and then there's Split Enz. Wow.....

luckingfovely Says:
May 30, 2012 - Noel Crombie... One of the most epic good c*nts of all time. What a guy. I can imagine people who didn't know the band watching this video and going, "why is that weird guy standing there with the tambourine", not realising how much of the Enz' aesthetic or sound came right from him. I mean, Tim and Neil are amazing of course, as are the others - Eddie Rayner was the best keyboard player of his time. But Noel Crombie is an unsung hero.
