Jun 16, 2011 - Well, look at MIDI created music with DAW's and VSTi's... thats nothing more than sampling large libraries of sounds, and slightly modifying them for each situation. Without that, we wouldn't have 90% of the music you see in every modern movie.None the less, I personally think the whole issue of copyrights are all wrong as a musician/composer myself, I don't mind giving my music away, letting it take its own course, as long as notoriety is given where it came from.

Feb 26, 2012 - This whole shtick is decades old - people have been sampling for years - mostly creatively - and making new and valid music. Hip-hop, house and techno were to different extents founded in sampling. The point is that they WERE making new and valid music. 20 YEARS AGO! I'm not sure if that tends to hold true today.
