One had to do with a D ring on barges that were crewed by blacks in America; that the D rings looked like hog's eyes. The second was that it, like the one eyed snake, was a sexual allusion. Now I am certain. When paired with jelly roll as in these lyrics the sexual meaning must be correct. Thank you.
