Description:
http://www.nstuffmusic.com/p-10511-fender-stratamstdrw3sb-american-standard-stratocaster-rosewood-neck-3-color-sunburst.aspxThe Fender American Stratocaster Electric Guitar is a Fender icon. Juicy upgrades include a richer, deeper neck tint for a more elegant and expensive appearance; glossed neck front for improved looks with satin back for smooth playability; and bent steel Fender saddles with classic look and great tone. String spacing is narrowed for modern playability, saddle height screws are resized to reduce rough feel, and string slot on saddle is elongated to reduce string friction or breakage. The Copper Infused Cast Strat Bridge Block (steel with copper - 100% metal) provides increased mass and improved tone. This Strat features the original headstock shape but has staggered machine heads losing one string tree and improving string angle over the nut. Custom staggered pickup magnets improve string-to-string balance and give the G-string better tone. Cosmetics include parchment/black/parchment pickguard and parchment pickup covers, knobs, and tips.

Jan 27, 2012 - Hello NstuffMusic. I have an american deluxe, SSS, with N3 pickups, rosewood fingerboard. The sound seems very dull, without the presence of mids. Do you like the sound of the american deluxe?, Peavey bandit is my amplifier 112 which will not let me get a better sound?. I do not know ... the sound of the american standard seems sharper and more interesting. What is your preference with these two guitars?, What would you choose and why?

NstuffMusic Says:

Jan 28, 2012 - Noiseless pickups are great for what they are made to do. However they are not a true single coil due to the fact that a second coil is used to cancel the 60 cycle hum. So, they can't accurately reproduce the sweet chime and harmonics of a true vintage single coil. But they are quiet and not as harsh as a regular humbucker. It's a toss up. You'd have to make a personal decision. What's more important, the sweet chime of single coil or no noise noiseless pickup.

Jan 29, 2012 - Wow! that was some great playing. By the way, what amp are you using? I'm looking in to purchasing a new one, and I really enjoyed the sound from yours! How much did it cost you?

fengib74 Says:

Jan 29, 2012 - Thank you very much for answering Mr. Marks. I understood perfectly, I know it's a personal decision. I would ask you to acquit me just a few more questions, I promise not to ask more. What do you think of buying a guitar relatively high price and then change the pickups, not take away the essence?, Or should I worry about getting the sound I want by changing pickups no matter knowing that features quality materials and my guitar is fairly regular basis.Greetings from Perú.

Jan 30, 2012 - I'm using the Fender Hot Rod DeVille 212. $799.99 at nstuffmusic with coupon code FENDER35. It has a great clean tone and take pedals really well making it super versatile.

DWarrior4 Says:

Feb 1, 2012 - I want one but they are so expensive

kkgggy Says:

Feb 8, 2012 - @NstuffMusic Would it be possible to get a rock / metal sound out of an Am. Std. by changing maybe just the bridge pickup with a single-coil-sized humbucker?

NstuffMusic Says:

Feb 9, 2012 - Yes, definitely I have two Strats with the single coil size Seymour Duncan humbuckers and the sound great. You might want to check out the Seymour Duncan JB Jr. or the Hot Rails. Any questions let me know.

kkgggy Says:

Feb 10, 2012 - Okay, cool. Thanks for the help!

dedetube Says:

Feb 19, 2012 - I am hoping to get a deluxe HSS just for the playability. However, this is my first fender and I thought of buying a fender because of the sweet chime. So my solution, get the deluxe then if I can't live with the N3's then I will swap them out for ones that get put on the standard?? is this plan possible??

EriksAnarchy512 Says:

Feb 27, 2012 - is this guitar a pro level guitar? and would the american deluxe tele also be a pro?

NstuffMusic Says:

Feb 28, 2012 - Absolutely!!!!....I know Pros that use the Mexican Standard to gig with Regularly...

TheSwilliams92 Says:

Mar 1, 2012 - I would have to say the stratocaster and telecaster were absolute breakthroughs in American technology, not just in music technology.

bracico Says:

Apr 12, 2012 - What's the best maple or rosewood?

NstuffMusic Says:

Apr 13, 2012 - One is not better than the other it's a personal preference. Maple is harder so it sounds a little brighter. Rosewood will give a smoother sound and be darker in color. Some people base there choice on the overall appearance.

wearashirt Says:

Apr 13, 2012 - So how do you cope with that irritating 60-cycle hum?

markd514 Says:

Apr 14, 2012 - what year is that? Is that the one with alnico pickups? I think they made that in 2011

NstuffMusic Says:

Apr 16, 2012 - I believe it is a 2011. We have that guitar on our clearance section of our site for $949.99 with case and free shipping if your not out of the country.

HardRock9009 Says:

Apr 19, 2012 - beautiful guitar!!!!

gukobi Says:

Apr 22, 2012 - The new american standards are great guitars. They play like butter compared to the american series which were excellent guitars too. You don't have to dig in as hard to hit the sweet spot but is like any other strat in the harder you play it the more it sings.

LfunkeyA Says:

Apr 25, 2012 - just accept it. or get noiseless, which will always have a different tone (and will only reduce noise, not really remove it).

BigEvilLadia23 Says:
