May 25, 2012 - Oh, so now it does not guarantee human rights? Cuba has less than a 100, & most of these are plane hijackers and foreign paid agents. Like Armando Valladares, who falsely claimed that he was paralyzed and was paid by USAID/Cuban groups in Miami. 3,500 Cubans/Tourists in Cuba have died due to the US, Orlando Bosch, who shot down flight 445, and was granted asylum by Bush, the Cuban Adjustment Act, which has tempted Cubans to cross the ocean, and die in most cases, because they're promised visas
Eliu5564 Says:
May 25, 2012 - Reagans bio-warfare on Cubans crops,CIA attempts to assassinate Castro multiple times.Central Americans paid by Cuban in Miami to bomb hotels in Havana, bloggers in Cuba paid by Germany to spread faux-info.Do you honestly believe that if all this happened to your country, the Feds would censor even more? You have to understand why Cuba is stubborn w/ free-press.Castro didn't just wake-up one day and decide to impose censorship.Just think if China, Iran, Venezuela, etc, carried this out in the US

May 25, 2012 - how to fix capitalism? its easy you just have to become a communist
cristalsoldier Says:
May 25, 2012 - • The followers of Satan, brainwashed with the promises of power and glory by each other, are plotting now to inflict a range of events around the world which will cause untold grief, pain and horror everywhere. Those children, who have been shown the truth and guided by Me are trying desperately to warn the world of these terrible groups, splintered in all directions. Littered in every country, present in every level of authority they plot in secret.Jesus Thewarningsecondcomingcom
abusivemomba Says:
May 26, 2012 - But has he actually put in more time and sweat? You underestimate the role of the entrepreneurs and the job creators. Bill Gates employs about 57,000 people in the United States, that is no small feat. He has provided products that you are probably utilizing right now, and still he gives more money to charities than your average Joe. He makes astronomical amounts of money, and I wish I did too, but you can't say that he doesn't deserve the right to decide his own salary from a company he runs.
Nomiss9 Says:
May 26, 2012 - You're so stuck in your capitalist way of thinking, just like most people on this page. "Well, he found a way to legally get 1000 times more than the average worker in this system, therefore he deserves it herp derp!"I think the system is fucked up, and I don't care how many people work for his company. In an intelligent world/system, he wouldn't be able to take that much resources out of the system. About his charity, he also has way more money than he deserves (IMO), so I couldn't care less.
abusivemomba Says:
May 26, 2012 - What does an intelligent world economic system look like to you?
Nomiss9 Says:
May 26, 2012 - Look up the Venus Project. Seems pretty intelligent to me. Not saying I'm sure it could be implemented though, because people are so self-centered and illogical.
abusivemomba Says:
May 26, 2012 - I have heard of the Venus Project, really interesting stuff. Can't say I think it's very realistic unfortunately, the elimination of scarcity and currency.
Nomiss9 Says:
May 26, 2012 - I think it would work if humanity could just get its shit together, but yeah, I'm not expecting it to happen any time soon. Pretty sad though.
d0101010101010101 Says:
May 27, 2012 - Here's a good idea: Use government-enforced regulations. 1) minimum wage 2) rental control 3) public education standards 5) public health standards. -- Real simple plan. Money talks. You go over the speed limit, you get fined. ;)
voogru Says:
May 27, 2012 - I agree. Governments can easily legislate prosperity, all they have to do is set the min. wage to $30/hr, and then make all importation of goods illegal so that nobody can outsource jobs.Luckily, prices won't skyrocket even with exploding labor costs. Also, I heard that the government can also declare gravity to be illegal. Might be worth looking into.
voogru Says:
May 27, 2012 - We don't have capitalism, try to open a lemonade stand, or try to run a business braiding hair. That's right, you can't do either without express written consent of the government. THIS IS NOT CAPITALISM.
jazzsowhat84 Says:
May 27, 2012 - on top of that: that doesn't mean it makes good economic sense! The ethical (and sentimental) Question of fairness unfortunately dominates the public debate, while the more scientific question, whether it is economically reasonable for the entire economy to incorporate rising income inequality (the US once -over 40 years ago- was the most equal country in the world!).Even the 'more inequality -> more productive workforce' argument - provided it was true - cant outweigh the negative repercussions!
Makiba08 Says:
May 28, 2012 - A lot of people are in the matrix and their minds cannot grasp or conceive another economic living system for humans...but there is. Imagine a world where everything does not have a monetary value assigned to it...it is humanity's God-given right to eat, drink and sleep for free. Placing value on water, land, food and in the future maybe air is foolish and greedy. It is downright satanic. There is another way of living - free - paradise
koppellhinex Says:
May 30, 2012 - CAPITALISM creates DRUG LORDS. LAWYERS. BANKERS. ELITE CRIMINALS. INEQUALITY. INSTABILITY. GREED. RUTHLESS COMMUNISM. NWO. NAZI. TERRORISM. LAZY PEOPLE. REBEL POLITICIAN. ANARCHY. worst is WAR etc.. ☠ ☢ ☠ ☢ ☠ ☢ CAPITALISM was designed only for CORRUPT OPPORTUNISTIC MANIPULATIVE LAZY POLITICIAN. BANKERS. NARCOPOLITICIAN. JUDGES. CRIMINALS. DICTATORS. RULERS. KING. SULTANATE. EMPEROR etc..HARD WORKING PEACE LOVING HAPPY HONEST SOCIETY were always the slave victim and poorly starve to death. :(
spartan2600 Says:
May 30, 2012 - Businesses are dictatorships or oligarchies, that is the structure of how they are run. Many of them are totalitarian in that they spy on their workers and force the workers to accept the value system of the leadership. Also, businesses have a virtual monopoly over the means of production, so we have little choice but to go to them supine and take whatever they deign to give us for our labor and our lives.
Solkovsky Says:
May 30, 2012 - You have a choice whether or not you take part in the hierarchy of a business. Furthermore, unlike the State, a business cannot rob you or kill you at a whim.I hope you can see how utterly flawed your logic is. If you can't, I invite you to PM me, and we'll continue this discussion until one of us has convinced the other.
shdevilnguyen Says:
May 30, 2012 - He's just smarter than others. Capitalism punishes people for mistakes. It's the survival of the fittest, for example I'm smarter than you, therefore I will have better life than you. That's how it is.
Nomiss9 Says:
May 30, 2012 - Sure, if you want to believe that you can measure someone's intelligence by their success in capitalism. Personally, I think it also matters how you grew up and what's happened to you in life, if you feel empathy, and if you're at the right place at the right time. I would feel extremely guilty if I was a billionaire, regardless of how I got the money.
arzgania Says:
May 30, 2012 - capitalism > the other systems. not even close.
cmwarre Says:
May 30, 2012 - I miss Milton Friedman
jmintube Says:
May 30, 2012 - The entire capitalist system is one entire joke. It is based on flawed principles and inherent flaws. How could a system designed to rape the earth to hell actually benefit the people? How could planned obsolescence, perpetual growth and intellectual property ever be beneficial for all humanity. There are more slaves today (23 million) than existed in the times when slavery was deemed acceptable....
jmintube Says:
May 30, 2012 - Oh yes, what a genius you are. Perpetual competition is such a marvel. Survival of the fittest...oh yes how Darwinian of you. Tell me, what would you think of perpetual competition if it lead to the type of regulation or de-regulation which placed your nation in endemic squalor and forced you to accept non-living wages at some health hazard of a factory producing Nike shoes for overweight diabetic brain-dead degenerates across the ocean?

superturtleism Says:
May 25, 2012 - Capitalism is an economic framework for a country it does not guarantee human rights. When I talk about capitalism I assume we are talking about a constitutional democracy or republic that has guaranteed individual freedoms(free speech, ect). Cuba does not have freedom of the press and their prisions are full of political prisioners. Their nation started with the firing squads with no trails so stop the BS. The police don't really care about OWS protesters until they start acting violently.
