Mar 18, 2012 - I know that you don't mean all blacks, but you are upset. There is some truth to what you are saying & the naysayers need to affirm that. Whitney was criticized by an echelon in her community as black artists who don't live up to the epoch black standards. The fact she may have been lesbian, which was taboo in the black community, was an issue too. BB's remarks shows how Whitney was so sensitive. That's maybe some of the reason she gravitated toward Bobby, vs. Robin or another race.

Mar 31, 2012 - Whitney was more vulnerable & insecure than realized. She wasn't allowed to be who she was in terms of being connected to Robyn (as they were close) & knocked as not being black enough early on. That bothered her as it was from her own community. Yet, she could never find love in Bobby. She used drugs to medicate, while Bobby used it recreationally. Yet, she really wanted LOVE, & that needed to start w/her. Though drugs played a part in taking her life, she ultimately died of a broken heart.
