Dec 11, 2006 - Yes, this is the simplified version of khao piek which is traditionally served for breakfast. When I cook with chicken I usually make khao piek with fresh noodles (made from scratch) which I'll post the recipe soon.

Jul 26, 2008 - For those of us who are not aquainted the real secret is "Jasmine rice". Plain old "Uncle Bens" will not do. Also, I found, a bit of cilantro on top when serving is a nice touch.

gerry301 Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - I have also found that putting the rice in a blender before hand to "break it down" a little helps with the creamy texture.

Erdjet Says:

Jul 29, 2008 - it's better to use fresh made rice, it will already be fluffy and not in clumps, you won't need to break it down so it will have that "creamy texture" you want.
