flamableproductions Says:

May 21, 2012 - God I hate being attached to the queen. The west needs to split off from the east and remove all relation to the english monarchy. God bless Canada. May the Queen and all her kin rot in the fiery pits of hell for all eternity.

May 23, 2012 - i envy only smart Americans not dumbass's like you

ryanman2978 Says:

May 24, 2012 - Well, as an American, I absolutely love and respect Canada. You died at the same rate as us in WW2, per your smaller population. I'm amazed at how Canada manages such a vast land-mass, with such a small population. And you provide a second home to Americans, and we do that for you as well. We're as much like you, as you are like us. I love you, I respect you, and I hope nothing but the best for your country, and your people. I would lay down my life for Canada.

drewdudy Says:

May 25, 2012 - Do you really have to swear an oath to the Queen of England?. To become a Canadian citizen?

Ulmaramlu Says:

May 25, 2012 - Only if you aren't born in Canada, but if you immigrate here then you have to if you want citizenship.

KiljiArslan Says:

May 25, 2012 - Lets be honest, would you swear allegiance to a country whose head of state was a rat like Stephen Harper?

TheSmokinStarfish Says:

May 25, 2012 - Yeah, Germany did attack Canada directly. U-boats came into our waters and attacked our ports. Other than that, good post, I agree.

TheSmokinStarfish Says:

May 25, 2012 - Thanks for your kind words! XOXO

MrMegaFitter Says:

May 26, 2012 - Amen.

MrMegaFitter Says:

May 26, 2012 - Luckily I was born here so I never had to do it!

MrMegaFitter Says:

May 26, 2012 - And the answer is sadly.... Yes, Canadians-to-be have to...

canmoore Says:

May 26, 2012 - I for one am happy to retain ties with Britain. It is apart of our history, and our British heritage is what separates us from Americans and should never be severed. As for WW2. Canada's pumped out ammunition, food, and vehicles for the British war effort. Our navy kept the Atlantic shipping lanes open, allowing for both Canadian and US aid to Britian (although the US was not involved in the war untill 1941, they did send aid to England prior to '41).

UAL2842 Says:

May 28, 2012 - Just to clear up, not only is she the Queen of England, but the Queen of Canada, Australlia, New Zealand, and South Africa.

JimmyG228 Says:

May 28, 2012 - I don't know of any case of German U-Boats attacking our ports directly. They did for sure attack ships leaving port, but very rarely. All well known German attacks on Canada were in an indirect manor only, they never bombed, shelled, invaded, raided or threatened to do so.FYI just cuz I don't know of any direct attacks on Canada by Germany, I'm not saying they didn't happen, I'm just saying I doubt they did.

JimmyG228 Says:

May 28, 2012 - She's the head of state of 16 different countries, South Africa isn't one of them, so she isn't the Queen of South Africa. She is, however head of the 54-member Commonwealth of Nations, which does include South Africa. Her official title is quite long, too long to bother quoting. However she is the head of the Church of England, thus making her the "Queen of England" (along with being Queen of many other countries), as it's the Church of England through which she gets her crown (authority) from.

210482fmj Says:

May 29, 2012 - its really a great shame canada's military supported the gulf war and helped impose sanctions on innocent civilians along with the rest of nato. WE just can't forget what our governments helped impose on those poor people. THey shouldn't of done that and it shows some people will do anything for profit. Never again must we follow the actions of idiots

TheSmokinStarfish Says:

May 29, 2012 - Just because you don't know about it doesn't mean it didn't happen. In the future it would be best you researched something before going on about how much you doubt it simply because you had no previous knowledge. It did happen. It's well documented. Google Battle of Battle of the St. Lawrence.

OCOBASOL Says:

May 29, 2012 - CANADIANS WATCH.. "OH CANADA OUR BOUGHT AND SOLD OUT LAND" it is on youtube.. /watch?v=UbACCGf6q-c & WATCH THE BRILLIANT SPEECH BY VICTORIA GRANT A 12 YEAR OLD CANADIAN GIRL.. /watch?v=vSb4L4XOBoI THEN POST THEM TO FACEBOOK!!!!!!! IF a small percentage of Canadians take their money out of the BANKS it WILL have a devastating EFFECT on the entire SYSTEM. PROTECT your money from DEVALUATION have "PHYSICAL OWNERSHIP' of Silver, Gold, etc.. STOP DIRECT DEPOSITS! GET OUT OF PAPER!

JimmyG228 Says:

May 29, 2012 - Don't be arrogant. I've studied 20th century warfare for over a decade. Don't lecture me about knowing or not knowing the subject matter before commenting. Given the extent I've studied the war & the fact I've never heard of any direct attacks on Canada, I doubt it ever happened. I NEVER said they didn't happen, I'm just sure IF they did, they aren't well known or I'd know about it by now. I even went so far as to clarify that I wasn't denying an attack ever happened so you wouldn't lecture me.

JimmyG228 Says:

May 29, 2012 - FYI I took the time to read Wikipedia page on the Battle of the St. Lawrence. You asked I Google it, so I did. It did not report or imply ANY direct attacks on Canada took place. All but one attack was on merchant ships & Naval ships leaving port or in the St. Lawrence. These attacks full in the realm of indirect, not direct. Which supports my original comment & rips apart your foolish, arrogant argument. The only attack that could be seen in a direct manor was the sinking of the SS Caribou...

JimmyG228 Says:

May 29, 2012 - ... Caribou but that attack was on Newfoundland. Which at the time wasn't apart of Canada. So even IF that sinking is seen as a direct attack, it still was NOT a direct attack on Canada. Again supporting my original comment & making your argument with me foolishly uninformed. LOL and you lectured ME about knowing what I'm talking about before commenting. Practice what you preach. You don't seem to understand the difference between a direct attack & a indirect attack. I, however do.
