Title: The Heavy - Sixteen (Official Video)

Added: Jun 5, 2009

Author: ninja000

Duration: 3:10

Description:
BUY THIS TRACK ON iTUNES: http://itun.es/iSV9nhThe Heavy follow up the garage-band madness of Oh No! Not You Again! with pure vintage voodoo soul . Sixteen asks the question: how much can you learn in sixteen years? The answer is, a hell of a lot, but none of it good. The story of a girl who wants to grow up too fast, taking in dancing with the devil, nightclubbing, drinking and piping on the magic whistle. Produced by Jim Abbiss (best known for his work with the Arctic Monkeys), Sixteen sees Swaby offering up a soaring soul vocal over a beat that swoops and bumps along just right. All in all, another spine-tingling package from one of the most exciting bands in the UK just now, Sixteen is taken from The Heavys forthcoming second album, The House That Dirt Built. "Sixteen" is taken from The Heavy album "The House That Dirt Built".

May 3, 2012 - Because your car has a rearview mirror... sometimes when you're out runnin' the sun it's nice to look back and see the view man... chill or go back to your Katy Perry mess

batardtronique Says:

May 3, 2012 - what a stupid answer, I prefer listen the originals from the 50s 60s and 70s than all these copies, for one reason : in the sixties they make their song not for copy old songs, at this time it was new, today they just act like monkeys who want to sound like the old band, well you like vintage ? stop downloading and go buy vinyls, you don't like creativity ?? you have something against novelty ??? and katy perry it's dumb, I let this for babies.

VinKreepo Says:

May 3, 2012 - @batardtronique so I assume you don't like the new camaro, mustang, or challenger... Or smooth jazz artists with miles Davis influences... Or even icecream... Moron... People like to freshen up old things because they want to remember what was good about the past WITH all the promise of the future

batardtronique Says:

May 3, 2012 - you think music is a mechanic motor ? ok, having influences and copying is not the same things, I'm tired to talk with dumbies, you want a good music ? go listen "Arno : Dans les yeux de ma mère" /watch?v=CH_rmqlxCbU you will know what is a music with soul, and its not from the 60s, its from 1995, and it's not a copy, that's just real, not with old microphone and analogic recordings for have an old sound.

VinKreepo Says:

May 3, 2012 - @batardtronique please tell me you are not so stupid as to forget that many of these modern artists use pbasses which are still copies of the original 50's designs... Marshall tube amps... Again 50's... Why? Because they provide a different sound. You don't see country rockstars using bcrich warlocks... People like to use instruments and recording equipment that fit the music they are playing... With tenacious d being an legit exception lol

VinKreepo Says:

May 3, 2012 - @batardtronique oh BTW you're the moron for not realizing they don't use that mic for recording (watch their studio visa and see)... Music visa are as much of an art as the music and here they attempt to take ppl back in time LIKE MANY ARTISTS including painters, videographers, etc.

batardtronique Says:

May 3, 2012 - ok, I understand for you this music is not a boring copy, but for me it's just fake, this music has no more soul than a rap song using stereotypicals from the past, and I know they don't use the mic from the video for recordings, they just turn the sound dirty with studios fx for have a vintage sound, personnally, I think that's stupid, it's like if I piss and shit on a pants for he looks like used. tell me what is intelligent in this process?

batardtronique Says:

May 3, 2012 - for explain better, I can say this music is supposed to be the "soul music" except it has no soul, is too artificial, you understand, in france, we have a singer whos called "ben l'oncle soul" and I hate it, because he just copying like this band, so it's dirty in the sound of the mic, but it's too clean in the soul of the singer, you understand ?

kaybutterflyz Says:

May 10, 2012 - A lot of the songs from the the era you speak of were covers. It may be time that you research your music before you insert foot in mouth again.

batardtronique Says:

May 11, 2012 - oh really ? -_- you think I'm a noob ? well, when the rolling stones stealed the old bluesmen songs they maked in their own style, with new technology (electric guitars, organs, etc...) and they don't search to copy the sound of grammophon from the 30s, they don' searched to be wearing like old bluesmen, they had long hairs and hippie costumes, so they were "influenced" but they don't copied, that's all the differences, you understand moron ??

May 13, 2012 - Your terrible english makes your argument incomprehensible, however your asinine insults reveal your disposition to be that of an angered little child desperate to prove an invalid point. taste is subjective, and no one thinks you're any cooler or hold anymore credibility as a music critic because you hold a pretentious preference for the originators of a genre. Get over yourself bro...

batardtronique Says:

May 14, 2012 - you were not forced to answer my comment, you are as pretentious as I am because you are looking to impose on me your point of view, and yes, everyone has different tastes and ideas as you, you are not alone on earth, at the beginning, I just put my point of view, and dumbies like you come and try to make me say what they think is as absolute truth. learn modesty.
