theaterdreamer Says:
Feb 22, 2012 - Yup. The main creative forces behind TSO are Jon Oliva and Paul O'Neill. Remember, Jon had stopped recording with Sava after Streets, but Criss and Jon were still very much "the band". When Criss died, Zachary was still singing, but Jon popped on to do vocals occasionally (and finally full time with Poets). Really all the living members of Savatage post "Gutter Ballet" save Steve Wacholz have recorded or toured in TSO. TSO is very much Savatage.

Feb 22, 2012 - See I know that. Actually I heard that Jon also did keyboards on Edge Of Thorns. But Idk if that is true or not. I know that Jon still provides keyboards on TSO recordings. But I agree fully with what you are saying.

Mar 15, 2012 - Well, the title is completely wrong. This is not Savatage. This is TSO!!!! WTF!!!!!!
HeliasValenti Says:
Mar 16, 2012 - Obviously, your are wrong.
lawlbob Says:
Mar 16, 2012 - Wow, you're really clueless.
Lightblade0011 Says:
Mar 16, 2012 - No son, your clueless. All this is is TSO playing and the retard who put this up put Savatage as the band. And if you actually have eyes, under the details it has specifically Artist: TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA!!! Suck it.
HeliasValenti Says:
Mar 17, 2012 - What a clue! The digital details...
lawlbob Says:
Mar 17, 2012 - Keep on believing what you like, Savatage released this song before TSO, which is basically the same guys plus a few more, re-released it. Dead Winter Dead, this album, was released in 1995. TSO released their first album in 1996. I bet you believe TSO created the song 'Believe' from their lastest album as well?
HeliasValenti Says:
Mar 18, 2012 - The song is SAVATAGE's song./I think you do not understand my irony, or you just answered to the wrong person... For me the release date tags a song's ownership. So, basically, we share the same optic.
lawlbob Says:
Mar 18, 2012 - I did indeed answer the wrong person. :P Yes, we share the same opinion. Shame one that other guy who's being an idiot!
mitch19872 Says:
Mar 24, 2012 - Your wrong...its Savatage....TSO is Savatage. Well a watered down version of Savatage but still pretty good.
mitch19872 Says:
Mar 24, 2012 - Opps..meant you're*** damn me not proof reading.
SteakGeneral Says:
Mar 31, 2012 - The song is most famous for having appeared on the TSO's debut album, Christmas Eve and Other Stories. The song first appeared on Dead Winter Dead, while TSO was in its developing stages. This song may be the reason Christmas Eve and Other Stories remains the TSO's bestselling and only platinum album (RIAA certified double-platinum)
ParanormalIndiana Says:
Apr 5, 2012 - Actually, Savatage and TSO are very closely related. This song was first released by Savatage in 1995 and then re-released as a TSO side project in 1996. The key members of TSO are also the key members of Savatage - hence the connection.
ParanormalIndiana Says:
Apr 5, 2012 - No, it's Savatage. TSO and Savatage are closely related in terms of band personnel. Christmas Eve / Sarajevo was first released in 1995 as part of Savtatges "Dead Winter Dead" Album, while TSO was still in the formation stages. TSO re-released the song as part of their first album. Technically, the song belongs to Savatage as originally published.
ParanormalIndiana Says:
Apr 5, 2012 - Go to Wikipedia, and type (or paste in): Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24. You'll see it's Savatage and also learn some interesting details about the whole Savatage/TSO thing.
MajorParkinson95 Says:
Apr 15, 2012 - Would you like an apple pie with that?
DemonHunterDante316 Says:
Apr 24, 2012 - Jon Oliva was the guy from both TSO and Savatage. This song was originally done by Savatage, and then Jon Oliva decided to use it for his next band, the TSO. So technically, it's both, but originally Savatage.
AmroHMoussa Says:
Apr 29, 2012 - It's Savatage :)
MusicLady381 Says:
May 17, 2012 - TSO came from this album. They re-released this song as TSO later because it was such a big hit. But yeah, this was originally Savatage.
joshuabutner Says:
May 18, 2012 - Dude, you're on the internets. Use the internets. They are essentially the same band; mostly the same members. This was originally a song on an album called 'Dead Winter Dead', by Savatage. It was a rock opera. The the members of Savatage decided to make that Jerry O'Connell money, so they formed TSO and used some of the old Savatage songs for an amazing stadium show.Don't go through life ignorant. Don't hold strong opinions about things you don't understand.
masterofpuppets10893 Says:
May 25, 2012 - so are you. it's both groups.
