Mar 5, 2012 - Which top is suitable for fingerpicking?
sc12100 Says:
Mar 6, 2012 - I would say Cedar for finger picking. You can strum with cedar of course, but the volume will not be a bold as a spruce.

Mar 10, 2012 - hey what determines good tapping on a guitar? when i tap on my guitars they make noises on both ends of the string from where i tap on the string
SyncopatedProgress Says:
Mar 26, 2012 - If you don't mic the guitar at the bridge or the end of the neck from either a pickup or a external mic, there is nothing you can do. Sure you can use a hairband or a blanket wrapped aroud the neck above your hands but then you must adjust that before you play with open strings. I usually mute with my left hands index finger by just holding it lightly over the string. Bottom line, don't tap on acoustic guitars without a mic.

ManicForMessiah Says:
May 24, 2012 - I love the rich sound of my new factory Ibanez solid wood acoustic. But I'm still not sure why the top E string seems to vibrate so loudly when I strum it hard. It is almost like a kind of buzz. They adjusted it a few times so I just don't get it. This didn't even happen on my crappy cheap Yamaha that I had before.
