The only way out of the chamber is a dark and narrow airshaft. Corporal Bower (Foster), the younger of the two, crawls inside, while the other, Lt. Payton (Quaid), stays behind for guidance on a radio transmitter. As Bower ventures deeper and deeper into the ship, he begins to uncover a terrifying reality. Slowly the spacecraft's shocking and deadly secrets come unraveled, and the astronauts realize that the survival of mankind hinges on their actions.

May 7, 2012 - Even if the memory loss wasn't short term the question simply asks if the world you knew was gone. Which means the place you did know at one time is now gone. Weather you remember it in the present or not is not necessarily relevant to the question.

May 7, 2012 - I did just finish watching this movie and it was AWESOME! I actually hope a sequel is never made though because we all know how bad sequels suck. It would probably be a ship that "somehow" survived right before the earth exploded and they are landing on a different planet or some shit. And the whole thing would be repeated. No, leave this one alone. It's amazing as it is, don't ruin it.

May 10, 2012 - Actually it was set up as a trilogy, I believe the sequels would focus on colonizing the new planet, reforming government/law, etc. I love this fuckin' movie it's a shame it never found a mainstream audience

May 16, 2012 - I actually was thinking on pandorum when I heard the name but then I got a bit dissapointed because it was just another laien film :P (dotn take it wrong I like alien) I was just thinking I would see a new aswm sci fi film ^^ also I read something like pandorum would been like a triology but I guess it didnt happen because people didnt buy it neough :( I mean the ending was a great way to make a follow up :P

May 18, 2012 - Dude, Prometheus is not JUST an Alien-films! There's no Aliens in it, they wanted to make it a whole new mythology. It's just in the same universe (same corporation etc... but different creatures) but much more scarier and bigger in scale. They go to a planet and they find huge pyramids there with jars/urns etc. and a GIANT stone head, and ancient writings on the walls. Then they start messing things up. Some race probably created humanity. It's both a new film series and part of Alien.

May 26, 2012 - This movie is literally Dead Space! That's a compliment because Dead Space is excellent! This movie is perfect, The actors are perfect for the role, Aliens looks a bit weird, story is amazing, twist is.... HOLY SHIT!!!.... Somehow people didn't enjoy it but sure as hell entertained me.
