Oct 28, 2011 - Quite a way back in the comments, I saw some on socialized medicine and "death panels." I cringe at socialized medicine. I have epilepsy, and the meds I take run about $1500 a month for the ones made properly that I don't still have seizures on. Thanks to my insurance being forced to slash costs I keep getting moved to inferior generics and suffering breakthrough seizures. I also am a low priority for "extras" like pap smears.

Try making a doctor appointment in Canada and see how long you have to wait. If you think 2 weeks in the U.S. is bad talk to Canadians about how long they have to wait. I am 71 and have cancer and make 2 or 3 appointments at a time so I don't have to wait. And yes I live in the U.S.
