It includes capital control measures that, under EU rules, require agreement from most of the Union members. Britain is also prepared to close its borders and evacuate expats and holidaymakers from the effected countries. Apr 10, 2012 - We're not part of the Eurozone, genius. Why are UKIP leaflet-parroting types always so ignorant?The Eurozone is countries that use the Euro. What we're part of is the European Union, and while we (along with all the other large economies in Europe) are net contributors we get the benefits of being the member of a free trade union with rapidly developing economies (thanks to that subsidy). We also get a rebate on what we pay due to farmland share.

May 29, 2012 - They should have closed the borders when eastern europe joined the EU. Too many Polish people here taking up menial jobs as well as claiming benefits. This is just ridiculous. I am not xenophobic and I have do not hold it against the people from poland, etc coming over to try to get work and make a life for themselves but it is no good for our economy...
