It seems to be really low - cranking it up a bit will make it sound a bit thicker and more compressed (of course depending on the EQ settings you're at). Some don't like it, but I think it sounds good. On this vid it just sounds thin and doesn't have much balls to it. Even with low gain (9 o'clockish) I've got it sound more ballsy. But the cleans are just gorgeous, even if you didn't like the distortion/overdrive.

Dec 12, 2010 - I'm sure you can get a great distortion if you put a good EQ in the effect loop. People often underestimate its importance. I use a MXR M108 (8 bands, volume, gain, true bypass) with my Vox amp and I don't even need an OD pedal. You can get a very wide range of sounds and use it as a boost too. Give it a try, you'll never look back!
