May 24, 2012 - I wanna get one of these even though I have 2 Slims, I just like the way they look an it has the cool blue LED on it unlike the Slim. I have IHRA Drag Racing "Sportsman Edition" & Ford Racing 2 both on CD which I didnt know they made for the PS2 an both have the blue backs

May 24, 2012 - The Nintendo Gamecube is an extremely underrated console that spawned many great games ("Super Smash Bros. Melee" and "Metroid Prime" to name a couple); but the PS2 is one of the greatest video game consoles ever made. The only imperfection regarding it's aging process is it's fading DVD player. The Xbox in my opinion has a stronger DVD player.

May 24, 2012 - The Sega Dreamcast would have survived had Sega done one thing: made their games DVD disc manufactured and formatted. Had they done that the Dreamcast would probably have been serious competition for the PS2.

May 27, 2012 - sense microsoft made xbox origanel sorry typo so many games on xbox but not many they have to cancel the inthernet and mostly microsoft didn't do anything to thee xbox?? thats why they are still out their the ps2 sony makes millions or billions of dollars for a guess, they make more electronics and systems, microsoft just a little small time money but they all somake more money too but bill gates ruins the moment of gaming.

May 27, 2012 - I hope Playstation 2 will never be forgotten. I have been using SCPH-30001 ever since early 2003 and it still works after thousand of hours playing video games on it. Never had problems with it and it never broke down. I hope some good games will be made this year or in 2013 to show that this is one of the greatest video game consoles.

May 27, 2012 - I never had problems with the DVD player. The movies always worked on SCPH-30001 but the menu was a bit confusing. For the blue video game discs, they always worked but I noticed the ps2 makes a sound when loading the blue discs. I would stick with the older ps2 since it has a fan so it wouldn't heat up as quickly as the PS2 slim.

May 29, 2012 - The only good part is that I have a disc cracked toward the inner rim (sonic mega collection plus). Only one of my blue discs worked with no problems (one time). When I attempted watching Star Wars Episode 2, it froze at everywhere with a scratch, and my other DVD player didn't do that. I also have a feeling that when someone compares the 2 models, they'll find a reason to use a "that's what she said" line. This is my third favorite console, behind wii (2nd), and gamecube (1st)!

May 29, 2012 - Edit from above: The controller is the worst thing ever. The sticks are too close together. (I did buy mine used). The only thing I bought new was SWB2, and that broke because I stepped on it...

May 30, 2012 - 2 things ps2 needs:more ps3 games converted for ps2and it should have playstation network enabled for it - made in the new ps2, and for an old ps2 - download ps network from internet, and burn it on a disc, or use the flash memory - WHY PS2 HAS A FLASH PORT?
