Plants do adapt, & very quickly at that. Monsanto can not stop this from occuring by suing farmers. Some assume that plants are inanimate, almost dead. Mono culture all you like, but plants live and breed as if they are in the wild, they are not isolated beings. In essence, all life has in it self the inherant ability to escape any patent.
