PLEASE READ!!!!I found out about this contest March 7th around 5pm. I Immediately started making the vocals for the music. Since I cannot record live into the camera via the mic input or line inputs (I do not have them on my old camera), I recorded this on my computer via an XLR to 4th inch and an 8th inch jack into the mic input on the computer. I finished the song that day. I finished the video with the included demon hunter video the next night after my friends Eagle Scout ceremony, and couldn't get Youtube to cooperate on uploading the video. Thank God I happened to look at my account at school and saw one video went through!As I say in the video introduction, I can't scream. I need to save my voice for Collage vocal and jazz performance and Music Production, so I wanted to make up for all of my shortfalls. I decided to just "sing" the whole thing using a vocoder hooked up to my keyboard. it sounds alright, but it's definitely a sketchy piece for only having 6 hours to lay down all the vocals. It's all I can do at this point, so enjoy!I know that the intro vid is a little dark, but I can only do so much in an unfinished basement in a ghetto studio space. And please refrain from geek alert jokes please, I know this is kind of out of place, but hey, it's at least original. I did layout the vocals during the verses of the song in melodic form b/c of the inability to scream, but I did think that my variation on the pre-chorus and chorus might be similar to the actual vocals, so when the Album comes out, don't say, "HEY THAT'S NOT RIGHT!!!" because I'm just submitting what I imagined the vocals would somewhat sound like (not electronically of course).....Omigosh JUST LISTEN TO IT, RATE And COMMENT!!!(P.S.: Demon Hunter Band: I now understand that I'm late for the contest, but I don't care, I just thought you might like it!)

Apr 10, 2010 - Wow this is really good. Its such a wellwritten vocal harmonisation, only 400 views is just plain wrong. The whole vocoder-thing gives it a special touch and the vocals are obiously made with a rymth adapted for screaming, but the melodies are excellent anyhow!

Jun 29, 2010 - nice work :).Now it's more interresting than any over screaming video.But you wrote in the video description you wrote that you need your voice for singing.Do you think that screaming destroys the voice?I don't think so because i have learned it without changing my voice, and i think Ryan Clark has also a good voice :)

Jun 30, 2010 - when I wrote this description, I was auditioning for a few different universities in a few days. Because I first have inadequate inexperience, and secondly I needed scholarships, I declined trying to scream, for fear of damaging my voice. As far as I know, and as my mom knows (she was a professional singer 26+ years) the long term effects of Screaming are very damaging to your voice box and your ability to speak. But then again, I could be wrong. thanks for the post!:P

Haha I actually like it, if you are interested in learning how to scream without damaging your voice, check out Melissa Cross's "Zen of Screaming" it teaches the same technique that Ryan Clark uses, it's called a vocal fry and it is specifically designed for those who can sing and scream. I myself can't sing, but still use the fry out of fear of damage to my vocal chords (I mix it with a scream of my own concoction that I believe does not damage my voice) :D Yay!

Nov 22, 2010 - For some reason I didn't even know DH had a new CD till I was at Family Christian this past Sunday. I hadn't seen it in stores or anything when I was there so I had been thinking Follow the Wolves was still the newest, I feel so dumb. I got the CD yesterday and love it. This is an awesome twist on DH and I thank you for sharing it with us.
