Mar 21, 2012 - hang on? aren't you just showing them an artistic interpretation of the effects of media. i mean the video is artistic, not factual. if you show them this, expecting it to 'say it all' then you are a moron. what you are trying to teach the children is to think for themselves right, whilst you are allured by other means of media that you seek to control another persons opinion on the matter you care about. Aren't there other influences? interesting, but doesnt say it all surely!
Kingkoopa999 Says:
Mar 21, 2012 - remember that the screen the doll is looking at, in reality, is a general coverage of the fashionable trend right? ok so lets guess its an advert for instance. not every child watches an advert and immediately tries to perform what they see, sometimes they do, so is that mind control or taste in something they're exposed to? so the doll at the end of the video crashes because it cant keep up with the tv moving back for some reason! why does this happen! how in what way does this say it all!

Mar 21, 2012 - its over simplified, because its art. you cant teach anybody anything if its over simplified! you are apart of a parenting group and you wish to show the importance of media on teenagers. 'monkey see monkey do' - the first rule of behaviorism. Teenagers dont watch the fucking television anymore. most teenagers are a lot more clever that you might expect. replicating the trends is just as much of a popular social projection as doing the opposite. even ironically i think most children understand

Mar 21, 2012 - Veronica the wise. you are a complete tool. please do not try and teach the youth or other parents anything. you are ordinary and a ghastly product of mass media. on your feed i see you have mostly favourited pop music videos. i reckon you are a overweight american living in the middle of nowhere, have a limiting academic record, lead a very simple life, and of course have recently jumped on the kony 2012 bandwagon! you are very unwise if any of the above are true.
Veronicathewise Says:
Mar 21, 2012 - of course their are other influences no doubt. The message is still strong i live in the city where young teens act out what they see in music videos, so when i showed them it was interesting to hear about the many pressures they experience. your entitled to your opinion and i have mines. Unless you service the area i do..... you don't know shit. now this is not for debate.... do something productive with your time and make a video of your own! if not attend a parenting group.
Veronicathewise Says:
Mar 21, 2012 - it's flattering that you have dedicated your time to try to research me. But its sad that there's people like you who bitch and complain because there is nothing else to do with your time, once again be productive. From what it seems this is your hobby you debate over anything just to be heard. It seems almost attention seeking. I have feed your thirst just so you could get your time in fame...i guess you just wanted recognition. Other people have jobs, family, and friends..things to do. HINT.

Mar 29, 2012 - thank you so much for this ... i am a sixteen year old girl who has depression, anorexia, bulimia, and is in recovery. I feel like life isn't worth living. I cry all the time. This pain and hurt inside of me is breaking me... I'm not trying to whine here on youtube, but somebody save me. There are days where my belief in myself is eggshell thin. God, what did I ever do to deserve this?

Apr 13, 2012 - You will never be able to meet the expectations about body image that the media spends so much time and money convincing people they should. They are demanding an impossible goal, and you will destroy your body trying to reach it.

Apr 17, 2012 - You can't follow the whole media. But you have to follow your REAL feelings. Keep your eyes open!

Apr 27, 2012 - You should never trust anything reported by the media. Their first priority is to spread propaganda, their second priority is to make money. They never really care if they tell the truth or not. - Varg Vikernes

May 24, 2012 - my channel exposes two obvious attempts where the BBC has sought to normalise and legitimise ugly racism, which affects women and their sexuality. there are thousands more comments made every day, which oppress the minds of the non-white community. please BBC - no more ugly psychological abuse and sexual suffocation.
