Description:
It's the 21st century, but the gods of Mount Olympus and assorted monsters have walked out of the pages of high school student Percy Jackson's Greek mythology texts and into his life. And they're not happy: Zeus' lightning bolt has been stolen, and Percy is the prime suspect. Even more troubling is the sudden disappearance of Percy's mother. As Percy finds himself caught between angry and battling gods, he and his friends embark on a cross-country adventure to catch the true lightning thief, save Percy's mom, and unravel a mystery more powerful than the gods themselves.

May 23, 2012 - After getting hopelessly hooked to this amazing book I think that it is one of the best book series that I've ever read, that's why I'm kind of disappointed that they changed annabeth to have brown hair and other changes made to the movie that weren't in the book.

If they had been trying to destroy the plot, they wouldn't have done any better.That said, I can't say I loved the film (the books are truly amazing) but it wasn't all that bad. There weren't such huge and important changes. I for one like that Percy's older.What really nags me and beats the hell out of me is Annabeth's hair... Would it have been really that hard to find a blonde actress, or to ask this actress to have her hair dyed? There's no point in the change

May 27, 2012 - Yeah, I agree that a blonde actress would suit Annabeth better, but I disagree that Percy should be older. I like him when he's 12. Goofy, dorky, cute. I don't know of ONE funny or goofy thing Logan said in this film. Even when Percy FINALLY is 16 (son of neptune) he still makes me crack up. Therefore, he doesn't portray Percy very well. He LOOKS like he could Percy (a lot actually), but the personality isn't very close. Don't get me wrong, I L-O-V-E Logan but he needs to loosen up. XD

May 30, 2012 - Looks good on the trailer but defo got dissapointed with the movie after reading the book as it is actually one of the best trilogies but the movie did not give me the same feeling as the book it wasnt too bad but it wasnt great especially compared to the book therefore this will not be one of the movies which will remain on peoples minds..im hoping they make a remake in the future
