In this civilized society, which is governed under a democracy, if we want to bring about change, we simply go to the voting booth. We live in a nation where we can enjoy the freedom and the right to have our voices be heard. This comes at a high price, which so many of our fellow Americans have paid, but we have forgotten?This is a time of great concern for all Americans. The thoughts and opinions of the American people are split about this war. The fact remains that we are at war, and our armed forces are the brave men and women who have answered the call. Remember, our troops don't have the luxury of choosing the wars they will fight in, so we must not take for granted or misuse the American spirit that lives in them, because it is the same American spirit that lives in all of us. Peace is all good, and a lovely thing, but if all humans suddenly stopped killing one another, we'd over populate the planet several times faster, and run out of a food supply. Which would be followed by starvation, cannibalism, and more hate than what was.

No...the whole world is not a less educated place. To be honest it is much more educated than ever before it's just some countries are a little behind and they like it that way. The less educated the people are the easier they are influenced. The more educated they are, the more they realize what's wrong. That is common sense.

I too have written a song called Grandpa's Medals (USA version) and Poppa's Medals (Australian version) but I am an amateur and this song was truly professional.I personally think that veterans should be thanked constantly.Thank you for this song.jan keogh

May 13, 2012 - The thing I admire in today's generation is more praise and support to our soldiers/Marines/Airman/Sailors/NG... who fought for the country not like in Vietnam war where most criticizes our military who fought before even thinking twice.
