This could be illuminati because the lamp is triangular, also, when the lamp is shown closer it isn't there, indicating that it could have been a deliberate placement.

I assume it's one of those SciFi things that scan for body heat and such, so water hides his body signature? Of course, this is all speculation on my part, but I'm assuming that's why? Haha
