May 29, 2012 - I'm unsure where this video was taken, but I can say that here in Florida, pythons have taken over the Everglades. Alligators have no instinctive knowledge of over sized snakes. They have never been a natural part of their environment. It could very well be that the alligator didn't want to continue wasting energy, but I believe that the alligator just had no clue what was going on, had no idea what this thing was or what it wanted.
