They get what they want or else they buy media time for negative ads against whoever doesn't go along with what they want. Sposnsor think-tanks to come up with legislation that will get them what they want. Pump money into campains for shills that will do what they tell them to do. It's money, media, and politics at work against the interests of the average American who's basically powerless against it.

And, to up our representation to one member of congress for every one-hundred-thousand citizens. If these two solutions were put in place you would not only see a dramatic decrease in corruption, but also a dramatic increase in the power of our Countries' citizenry to govern themselves.
