Oct 23, 2011 - I was rather shocked to find out about his health problems over the years because he has always seemed the very picture of health onscreen. He's had corneal transplants on BOTH eyes-his eyes were SO BEAUTIFUL in "Yentl" it never occurred to me he was actually beginning to go blind-and has also suffered from prostate cancer. Thank God he is fully recovered now.

He is a real star, ad libs and talks to the audience,inspires Patti Lupone to her usual heights,they sing together,hug and kiss. what a show!!!
