While it's true that gamer girls aren't a minority, and it's common for girls to pick up games on their own and not have to be lead to them, most media directed at women and young girls is the exact opposite of this type of content. My understanding of their comment was it's good to have someone they can show their kids who is a self respecting nerd, rather than slutty celebs. Young people are impressionable, and it's good to have a role modle
