May 11, 2012 - Awesome. Total '80s sweetness. Notice how ramps and vert skating were *it* back then (especially all the different "airs" one could achieve: "Madonna Air," "Christ Air (by Christian Hosoi)," "Mosquito Air," "Rocket Air" etc.). They were sought after as much on half/quarter pipes as they were on launch ramps (even harder to do!). Street skating hadn't yet caught on as a popular form (you can count the number of street ollies in this vid on one hand). Those were the days. Thanks for sharing.

May 13, 2012 - That's cool. I remember having a few friends who would hang around skaters but never actually skated themselves. At least they were not pretending they were in to skating just because their friends were. Back in the mid 80s I remember half the town I lived in were skaters until it's popularity died in the early 90s. WHen all was said and done only a small handful were still out doing it, everyone else quit. MOst of them only skated cause it happened to be trendy at the time.
