May 17, 2012 - I'd go with an expensive guitar and cheap amp. Or probably a good idea is to get a medium ranged price guitar and medium range priced amp. Those are my thoughts.

May 18, 2012 - Go for a cheaper guitar and a more expensive amp. The amp colors the tone a lot more than the guitar. It really depends on your price range, though. For $1000, spend no more than $300-400 on the guitar and the rest on the amp. Also, try to get amps used.

May 18, 2012 - how much are you willing to spend? Because my idea is getting a good cheap guitar (like Squire however you spell it) a cheap amp and a multi effect pedal, since the pedals can really bring a sound. Especially digitech, i have a ESP guitar with a small Peavey amp and a Digitech RP500, and that can give the best sound ive ever seen. and i estimate that around $550-650.

May 22, 2012 - Yes, U are correct, Both Jimmy Page's #1 & #2 Les Pauls AND his Doubleneck FAR exceed the estimated worth of Any Clapton guitar (and any other guitar mentioned on this guy's video, including Hendrix's Woodstock Strat, which by the way, was WHITE).The person who made this video is WAY off.

May 29, 2012 - Oh God yeah, once bankers and investors saw they where worth money, that was it. The Woodstock blonde strat was in a bank vault in Germany for over a decade after selling for £700k in around 1990/1. It resold for staggering amounts. I know Russian and Kazakstaani oligarchs have stripped eBay of all the best vintage gear, London's guitar shops have been emptied too.
