Mar 8, 2012 - Personally, I think having the Creation Kit on PC only makes sense, partly because I do think that it's just not something console hardware and software are made to be able to do. HOWEVER, I think that allowing console gamers to access things like the Steam Workshop to be able to subscribe to and PLAY the mods made on PC, THAT would be epic. Let them enjoy the fruits of the modmakers labors, too. I think the current OS software between consoles & PCs is too different, though.

They could quite possibly release a sort of expansion pack that would allow you to alter the appearance of existing items like customisation options in games. For instance being able to change the colours on weapons and armour so each item has say 3-4 different parts to change. or even a sort of way of manipulating the shape of stuff. I agree that it would never be on the scale of 'the creation kit' but it would still be a fun addition to the game.

Mar 16, 2012 - I remember when Xbox stated that they wouldn't have YouTube or Internet explorer because they said they wanted a family friendly console but as of the last few months things have changed. It would be welcomed to allow the steam workshop on the Xbox as an app. Or an update on the dashboard of the ps3. I look forward to giving skyrim a massive modding. It would look more like ff7 by the time I was finished. Let's just hope that it's true that they would do more than "look into it".

Mar 22, 2012 - i spent the past three weeks trying to figure out the secrets of modding skyrim on the ps3. it seems that a cfw interface is needed over a ps3's current firmware version. this would allow read wright acsess to the skyrim data as its present on the ps3. haveing such accsess i can see first hand that the file data of the pc version to the ps3 version is literly one in the same. everything from skyrim.esm to the .bsa files to the .ini file. with this all skyrim workshop mods work on the ps3 vr.

May 17, 2012 - Actually, no. Todd has stated that the Creation Kit will work just as well on console versions, as it does on the PC, because it is the way they created the game in the first place. He also stated that mods will work just fine on console versions (not ALL of them ofcourse), so theres still hope for this generation.

May 18, 2012 - Yes you could add many arrows in your inventory but those modders you mentioned wont be able to add new contents like armors and weapons. The only thing they could do is to edit your savegame and add gold, items or maybe modify a house but that's just it it's very limited compared to what we could do in PC.
