May 14, 2012 - I'm sure it's only for blending purposes. His mic is probably mixed "hot" for the beatbox. If he didn't lower it he'd probably be too loud when he sings. Professional groups should be able to adjust on the fly like that and not rely on a sound tech to change the levels at the right time.
