Dec 5, 2011 - hm, what has Sennheiser got against VNV? I'm only kidding. Alas, I'm hearing it great with my over-ear Plantronics headphones as well.

Dec 22, 2011 - Hopefully one day my baby boy writes something like this, I'll try to keep him away from my music and wait hoping he likes metal and dark electro music like mummy and dad do!:D. Right now I don't want to influenciate him much (I did when I was preggo though).., so he doesn't get bored of it :D

jaisonrhymes Says:

Jan 5, 2012 - I hope he ends up more educated than you and doesn't get too influenciated (sic) by you.

MrsZainab Says:

Feb 2, 2012 - i am 17 years old girl and i absolutely love vnv nation..

TheLynxie Says:

Mar 6, 2012 - I don't think age really matters in your preference of music, hun. No need to state it.

Ergzay Says:

Mar 7, 2012 - I like the music but not the lyrics... Why does western music have to be so dark... Why can't we have uplifting music... Makes me feel sick, especially being such a cheerful person...

romansoldierdude Says:

Mar 14, 2012 - ...that's interesting, because the darkness is what makes me love this genre. It's even the reason I love Depeche Mode...I find that the aspect of darkness makes the uplifting VNV nation songs like Perpetual all the more meaningful. It's about perseverance through difficulty and finding meaning in what can often seem cold and bleak. Joy is a lot more profound when it's set against harshness.

kitty0tikara Says:

Mar 14, 2012 - Listen to their newest album, its a bit more upbeat. Gratitude and Radio are two of my favorite songs and their from the newest album.

EQAVOX Says:

Mar 17, 2012 - Just stop listening to VNV Nation now, lol

anyal1987 Says:

Mar 17, 2012 - Seeing these guys for the second time tonight! Happy St. Patrick's Day, right?! ;D

Toomanyregularrappy Says:

Mar 27, 2012 - Just go listen to religious music if you want so called "uplifting" even though religion itself is dark also and there is "Eastern music" that is also dark. but really its all perceptive in itself along with the fact you must have one to have the other. There is no dark without light. No uplifting without Sad. Dark and Light are beautiful ideals in themselfs, but of course I'm an artist so my perceptive is very different.

Toomanyregularrappy Says:

Mar 27, 2012 - if it makes you sick though, just don't listen to it. The fact your saying becuase your a "cheerful person it makes you sick" so basically your insinuating those who listen to it aren't cheerful? Becuase thats how your phrasing it.

no8no2 Says:

Apr 11, 2012 - vnv nation helped me to go through some terrible time of my life and I will be always be grateful for that

JustinKowalczyk Says:

Apr 12, 2012 - Uplifting is a matter of opinion. VNV cheers me up every time I hear it. Its got a great tempo and is full of deep lyrics. My biggest issue with American music (i live in the US by the way) is how cookie cutter it is. VNV delves into the actual emotions we all deal with every day. Love, hate, depression, joy, reverence, and remembrance. They hit it all and with amazing ability to make you feel. Isnt that what music should be?

thorazine666 Says:

Apr 16, 2012 - WITHOUT THE DARK THE LIGHT WOULDNT EXIST!

professorNIKKI Says:

Apr 21, 2012 - @thorazine666 that makes no sense.

secretlibby Says:

Apr 26, 2012 - It's odd that Ergzay makes that complaint about "all western music" being so "dark". Industrial and EBM are tiny, tiny niches compared to the glut of upbeat mainstream pop drool you can't help tripping over unwillingly in every cafe and apparel shop. I'd like to find this land where the only the dark stuff represents the west and live there.

monkeyatemycookie Says:

May 7, 2012 - If you listen to the song, he is actually saying the opposite. That there is alot of bad in this world but through it he can find the good things. And that is the beauty of it all. It's perserverance, no dwelling in self pity. Nobody wants to be fucked up, but we try to get the best out of it

ItsSomeDeadGuy Says:

May 9, 2012 - So heartbreak and loss of self-identity are "dark" themes now? Guess you have no idea what it feels like to really be human.

Nexoric Says:

May 17, 2012 - I love low/dark/creepy music...I love high/light/airy music.... They both generate a nice feeling in me...I love EBM and Industrial and I love Trance and Ambient. All four different from one another but all create euphoria for me no matter what. Just don't play country, pop, rap, and alternative rock around me. and as always, to hell with dubstep.-Random Comment
