Apr 28, 2011 - Yep! The variable b stands for the place on the y-axis that the line crosses, so writing it as a point (0,4) is correct.

Sep 1, 2011 - How do you graph this linear equation? Y=x+2y-x=4Plz help:) ?
hkelbel Says:
Sep 1, 2011 - - Hi, thanks for watching! First, I would re-write the equation y-x=4 into slope-int. form. So, we have to move the "x" to the other side by canceling it out (doing the opposite): y-x+x = 4+x -> y = x+4. Now you have two equations with a slope of 1/1 and y-intercepts of +2 and +4. Then I would graph them like I demonstrated above. I hope that helps. It is harder to write out an explanation. =)
